Sorry - there's a difference between what Martrae did and what Mindia does.

Martrae chose to not fight an irrational opponent. Mindia, on the other hand, IS the irrational opponent... so when he leaves, so does the ignorance. Unfortunately, Wrath Child is a very poor protege... he doesn't follow his teacher's example.

Wrath Child wrote:If the pharmacist is responsible(in his deluded mind) for the death of a freshly fertilized egg because he did his job and filled a prescription, then how can he feel he's not responsible if he refuses to fill the prescription and the woman ends up having an abortion because of his inaction.

That shouldn't be too much of a logic gap for even you to cross.

The pharmacists feelings are not complicit in your hypocracy. You, not the pharmacist, devoted a paragraph to condemning him as a fanatic because he chose not sell an item. You proceeded to arbitrarily assign a motivation to him, attack him for the motivation you invented for him. A paragraph later you blatantly contradict your previous post, stating "Everyone who goes into a pharmacy school knows that birth control pills are a HUGE part of that business. If a woman gets pregnant after you refused to fill her prescription, you are partially responsible for the abortion she then goes and has." There's no assignment to our pharmacist, simply a statement. There is of course, a rather preposterous logical discontinuity, but in light of the more egregious offenses against reason, we'll dismiss it. It is possible that you meant something other than what you wrote, in which case you might consider the title "If I had a better grasp of the English language, I'd be 33% less hypocritical". I think you could run a campaign with a slogan like that.

We're not talking about just one individual. This isn't an isolated case, which has been pointed out several times. And that's the problem.

Actually, there's only been one case documented here. If you would care to provide further examples feel free. I, having a grasp of the magnitude of numbers involved, will proceed to point out that it's a statistically insignificant value, whereas the legislation affects every single pharmacy under its scope. You will then introduce a spurious tangent, most probably resorting to insults when you find yourself out of your depth. Hopefully, I've just saved everyone a few minutes here.

No, it's not irrelevant. It's systematic of a wider problem that touches many areas of the separation of religion and state issue.

The only possible violation of the separation of church and state is the state infringing on the pharmacy owner's rights by forcing him to carry something that he may object to on religious grounds.

You know, I did that and here's what I found:

xaoshaen wrote:It's fairly clear that you're entirely clueless as to what I believe, which is odd, as I clearly articulated it in my previous post.

So I checked your "previous post" and found this:

xaoshaen wrote:And yet, you'll vehemently defend the notion that a 25-week fetus is as human as you are, despite the fact that it's largely nonviable without significant medical support. It is noteworthy that with sufficient medical support, even a fertilized egg is also viable. I don't particularly care one way or the other. I just find the arbitrary establishment of acceptable termination dates to be incredibly entertaining.

Yup. That sure is a "clearly articulated " answer. QQ

Unquestionably so. I can restate it using fewer syllables if you found it confusing.

Stop being a coward and just answer the damn question. You're inanity is nearly enough to make me turn liberal.

If you'd care to ask a question that hasn't been addressed, I will of course answer it.

That comment wasn't aimed directly this particular pharmacist. It was aimed at this:

But Susan C. Winckler of the American Pharmacists Association, which represents 52,000 pharmacists, said she had concerns about the emergency rule in Illinois. The association, she said, believes that pharmacists should be allowed to "step away" in cases where they feel uncomfortable dispensing a particular drug - so long as their customers can still get their drugs from alternative sources.

If these 52,000 pharmacist she represents feel they are somehow responsible for the death of a fertilized egg because they have to fill a birth control prescription, then it seems a bit odd - a bit hypocritical - that they wouldn't feel any responsibility for the deaths of unborn children who are aborted later on because the woman wasn't able to get the prescription filled.

In the case of Plan B and other morning-after drugs, the window for their effectiveness is quite short. Any delay can adversely effect the woman's health. For all the pharmacist knew, this woman could have been a victim of incestuous rape.

Now, if you happen to believe that a fertilized egg's death due to it's inability to successfully attach itself to the wall of the uterus is no different than the death of a unborn child that occurs during a partial-birth abortion, then I can understand your astonishing confusion. And the pharmacists sudden lack of responsibility beyond this point.

I don't consider them equal deaths anymore than I consider a dying persons death at the hands of a mercy killer, and a healthy 10 year old girls death at the hands of a serial killer to be a equal deaths. They are both murders, but they are hardly equal.

We're not talking about just one individual. This isn't an isolated case, which has been pointed out several times. And that's the problem.

Actually, there's only been one case documented here. If you would care to provide further examples feel free. You're wrong. And possibly a liar considering I posted an article about a similiar pharmacist. Not to mention the 52,000 pharmacists listed in the original article. I'll extrapolate and suggest that at least some of them feel the way this man does.

No, it's not irrelevant. It's systematic of a wider problem that touches many areas of the separation of religion and state issue.

The only possible violation of the separation of church and state is the state infringing on the pharmacy owner's rights by forcing him to carry something that he may object to on religious grounds.

I gave both a ficticious and real examples of this "wider problem". Lyion did as well with the Jehovah's Witness example.

You know, I did that and here's what I found:

xaoshaen wrote:It's fairly clear that you're entirely clueless as to what I believe, which is odd, as I clearly articulated it in my previous post.

Unquestionably not. Please do restate it using fewer syllables seeing as how big syllables renders your answers unintelligible.

By this statement "I just find the arbitrary establishment of acceptable termination dates to be incredibly entertaining" you clearly set the paramenters that the fetus is either human during this entire stage of development or it's not human during any point of this stage of development. So I then removed that option from the list and deduced that you must then believe that you become human "either at conception or after birth", which you claimed to be a figment of my imagination.

So what option does that leave us with? The stork?

If you'd care to ask a question that hasn't been addressed, I will of course answer it.

Now that's a response a diehard pro-abortion Liberal would proud of!

As I have stated before. I actually do work for a living and I do not have time to run a spell checker between network jobs. And as for being a bad day at work...nope, just busy. Look at it this way son, at least I have a job that does not entail the words 'you want fries with that?'. How old are you really? I would be interested to know if the underage McDonalds summer job program is working out for you.

I have never cared one tenth of a shit for anything you have said and to whether or not you agree with me. Frankly your opinion on this board holds about as much weight and opinion as Mindia's for all purposes in regards to me.

One point I might make before I head out to my next client...being a spell nazi is so cool. Im sure it picks up alot of women. I can bet the ladies like Darcler, Kizzy and Mar are all turned on right now because you have time in your busy schedule of McDonalds and surfing for porn on the internet to tell others how they can spell.
