I never understood why people take the game so serious as to get pissy with folks about simple shit. I play the game and am laid back. I'm nice to folks, and if they act like retards, I ignore them.

I guess it's different when you play from a "power player" perspective. I just never chose to play the game (EQ, WoW, etc) seriously. If I have to invest serious time/concentration/emotion over it, it ceases being a fun game for me and becomes a job.

Take my perspective. I get this every motherfucking day. Poke me in the eye once or twice, I can forgive it; but this is almost every time I seek out a group. Thats a lot of poking. Its aggravating.

It's a game, not an intellectual convention. You expect a large portion of people on a fantasy online role-playing game to be hard-core experienced mmorpg players and/or intelligent? I don't. Those types are the exception in that environment. I expect very little from them. If they turn out to be annoying little piece of shit dregs of humanity (ie Wiici clones), they get ignored. If they turn out to be ultra cool, (Lueyen, for example), I add them to my friends list and consider myself fortunate to have met someone that is not only cool, but knows how to play the game as well.

I'm a regular asshole on this board, but in conversation (in game or real life) I try my damndest to be pleasant. When that doesn't work, I move on.

Everyone deals with it differently I guess. Not saying your way is wrong or my way is right, etc.
