Is it possible in baseball for every single team to have an okay season? Or do there always have to be some teams with bad seasons?
Thanks.

YOu know how some teams have a 14-73 season, and some teams have a 58-10 season? One is obviously a good seaon, and one isn't. Is it possible for ALL teams to have an okay season like 45-45?

Anything is possible as long as the total number of wins = total number of losses over the league (for the most part) The extremes you could have 1/2 the leage with undefeated records and 1/2 the leage with no win records (theoretically) or you could have every single team at 50/50. And of course everything in between.

It's impossible for half the team to go undefeated and half with no wins. Each team do play against all the other teams in the league. Can only have one undefeated team per league.

Slightly above .500. San Diego finished 82-80.

It's impossible so cant be theoretically.

In MLB in this country with the rules it has and the way it schedules games it is imposible. In theory if you have 50 teams, 25 can be undefeated and 25 without a win.

edit: lol nevermind, this circular argument will just keep going... and be about as boring as baseball.

Not with any kind of balanced schedule.

I never once said anything about a balanced schedule. I was just saying its possible statistically.
Let me ask you this. You have 100 teams that play 100 games each. Is it possible for 50 teams to go 100 - 0 and 50 teams to go 0 - 100? The answer is yes. Now if you add in more details it may become imposible but with the general statment above its possible.
