Looks cool, I don't have much hope in it being very compatible with much.
Micro$hit will cockblock it at every turn possible.

I don't understand why people claim to like java
it's slower than fuck, and always full of bugs, and security holes a mile wide

not to mention that every version is NOT compatable with ANY other previos version which means that you have to re-write the freaking book every time they want you to update

Java is really good in theory, in practice though its not that great. I stay away from it every chance I get.

Java blows compared to windows, which kinda speaks volumes for how good Java is

What are you guys doing that windows cant handle/do?
Do you have super secret infoz on your computer that you have to protect from haxorz?

goose i guarantee you have a virus or spyware you are not aware of
90% of "protected" computers either have a virus or spyware
some of us dont like the idea of our private info free for any jackass who knows how to use msmsg.exe

If you'd like to place a wager, I'll guarantee my XP machines are vires/spyware free
But for Goose
Certain things are more suited to a different operating environment
Lots of older PC's that chug with an OS like XP will run pretty well with a CLI Linux distro
I find it easier to do batch type jobs, and simple shell scripting on a unix variant, as opposed to trying to get it to work with windows
it's more just a matter of right tool for the right job

Forget OS's, Java is a world of hate for me anyway. It is a simple enough language but just as Vin said, its not fucking backwards compatible. Hate.

I cant locate any of the java projects I have done, I am in no way every planning to redo them. I hate the language and stay as far away from it as possible.
