almost time for fantasy and to see who the kings start at PF.. cause atm looks like kenny and Shareef are tied... paper said today that rahim would take a bench role if needed he doens't care which. So most likely Kenny Thomas will start.

so looks like

Bibby
Bonzi (tho Kevin Martin is said to be pushing bonzi for that spot also, has been out playing him and bulked up)
Peja
Thomas
Miller

We play your beloved kings first...

and before you :teehee: , yes... I am aware that they are not playing Doug Christie for the first pre-season game because of health concerns. To that I say, 'go die, I hate you.'

:ohnoes:

Will Mrs Christie play?

Sac is about 5 deep with mediocre post players.

Brad
SAR
Skinner
Thomas
Williamson

Not too bad.

well like i was sayin.. francisco and Martin have been impressin the coaches and the veterans so maybe more than just 5 deep.

thomas really can't post up. Bonzi i think will be your post up guy.. for defense thats where i actually think the kings are ok at.. post defense.

the prob will be bibby.. if he plays D like he can they won't have too many probs if he played like last year (albeit he has to score so he was conserving energy to score) no matter if they had shaq and a young mutombo post defense will suffer cause of penetration.

thats why the suns defense was crappy.. nash Ole'd everyone so made defense download hard. But with Jason hart at least the kings have a bobby jackson type defender if not better as a backup who can post up other guards

Dallas remains the deepest team in the league that doesn't rhyme with Tan Banbonio.

Starters:

Jason Terry
Doug Christie
Josh Howard
Dirk Nowitzki
Erick Dampier

1/2s: Jet will likely play 2 just as often as 1... Doug will play 1 occasionally. Their backups are Marquis Daniels (mostly 2) and Devin Harris (mostly 1). Jerry Stackhouse will play a strange 6th man role - he won't start yet will still play 25-30 minutes a game. Then you have the 5-10 'defensive' minutes a game from Darryl Armstrong at point.

3s: Josh Howard has a pair of rookies that both look very strong. I said this about Howard in the 03 preseason... he's a future stud. I was totally right and I'll say the exact same thing about Rawle Marshall. The dude is amazing. I can't wait for him to explode this season, I just hope there is enough playing time since J-Ho will likely get 40 every night. Josh Powell is a killer offensive rebounder (lead in rebounds for the whole summer league - NBA-wide)

4s: Dirk will likely play reduced minutes ala Duncan in spring-05. He'll still play 35-40'ish but we found that KVH was a solid bench 4 last year. We are counting on the same sort of production from him this year. Otherwise, Rawle Marshall is big enough to play 4.

5s: Diop looked really strong in the Fan Jam. He's lost a LOT of weight and looks like he's in the best shape of his life. Furthermore, both DJ Mbenga and Pavel Podkolzin looked like they were ready for their 5-10 a game this year. Pavel was getting a lot of rebounds in the fan jam... he even through down a pretty nice slam on top of KVH :teehee: .

Coaching: Johnson has stressed defense all year... and it showed in the fan jam.

I'm not saying that the Mavs will go the the finals, but I *do* think that they have the potential to give SA some problems in the conf finals...

But once again... nobody is touching SA this year. If Houston has perfect chemistry and S.Swift explodes at the 4, I'll give them the best chance at an upset. They are the only western team that is built in a way that SA wouldn't be able to contend with... provided their chemistry is perfect anyway. SA beats a perfect Dallas, Sacramento, Seattle and Phoenix any day of the week. Denver is still too raw to even comment on.

Golden state will win 20 games in 2005 and then Baron Davis will injure himself and they'll only win 6 more before the lottery balls drop.

joe johnson
kevin garnett
elton brand
antawn jamison
samuel dalembert
erick dampier
carlos boozer

I was about to say "damn when did she become the expert?"

Guys it's pointless. The Miami Heat will win it all this year. Look to 2006/07 for your hopes and dreams.

He had injury issues in his sophomore season also. This could be a reoccurring thing.

Why you hate Amare?

He was my stud pick last year, and the main reason I schooled you all.

Conf rivals.

I put Sac, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston in the same category for the West. If Yao had to have surgery, I'd cheer. If Bibby fell off a cliff and broke his leg, I'd cheer.

Besides... I think Marion is a better pick than Stoudamire anyway.

Yes but Marion wasnt drafted in the third round.
