WTF would the Bucs want with Tim Rattay? Insurance I guess. Wonder what draft pick the 49ers are getting.
Now, if only we can keep losing long enough to put us in a position to draft Reggie Bush... (he IS coming out this year, right?)

Well, with Griese out, the need somebody with reasonable experience to back up the albino wonder kid. This doesn't suprise me at all. With Testaverde off the market, the waiver wire of veteran QB's looks like shit.

Rattay is better than anyone on the 9er or Buc roster. The 9ers are trying to develop a team around AJ, but the Bucs are taking a run now and it's a great trade for them.
Have you seen Chris Simms play? Rattay is a huge upgrade for them.

Look at Rattay's numbers
for a QB on a shitty mofaking team, his numbers aren't half bad at all
Like I said before, the Buc's don't need a QB to win games, just one that won't lose the games for them

he is a decent QB when he has a healthy O-line in the 3 games he started when they were healthy he went 2-1 with a loss at green bay back when the packers never lost there. 2 blow outs one loss.
even with the BS line he has now he has ok numbers solid backup/insurance

Miami needs a new Marino. It is painful to watch that team after seeing Marino from rookie to retirement. Losing 20-3 with 3 minutes to go? No problem! Give Marino the ball!
I wouldn't even mind the .500 seasons that they had back then-just give me that kind of excitement again. Imagine if Marino could have had Brown and Williams when Duper and Clayton were the shit?
You would have basically had the 80's 49ers...with a less mobile QB..=)

49ers also had a defense, dolphins didn't from 85 - 2000

Perhaps you didn't see the almost undefeated Bears get their asses slapped back by the phins.
I did. Was the greatest MNF I have ever seen and probably will be for decades to come. I still say to this day had they played the bears in the super bowl instead of the choke artist patriots they would have brougth the trophy home for the AFC that year.
