NT Status - Nov 2, 2005

Basically... I don't want to pay for the site anymore. Paul covered the bill this time and I'm now going to try and move it off my current host onto some other 'cheaper' solutions.

I'm unemployed atm, so... hopefully things are going to happen right now.

Anyway, stay tuned.

Also, a lot of ya'll were emailing / calling asking what happened to the $1,000 that Paul paid last year... that didn't really happen, it was just a 'quick' answer we gave to explain his new 'vip' status. It was actually more like... $100. But anyway...

we are good for a few months now... going to work on a cheaper / more reliable solution in the mean time.

A few questions...

One... how much bandwidth per month does this site use?

Two...Honestly... How much per month does it cost to run this site on a peak month through the current host?

Three... Have you considered 1and1.com? There hosting is dirt cheap...

Four... I have an almost totally unused hosting package through one and one that I pay for every month... Pending the bandwidth answer that might work for this site.

Five... if it is enough bandwidth I'll set up the hosting, but I don't want to be responsible for board maintenance/upkeep.

Six... if we move it to my hosting I only ask two things:
a. I have the ability to edit and control any Mudcrush and Azlana's posts/mod actions
b. You permenantly change brinstar's signature to a picture of Ralf Macchio and put "I heart Ralf" in big blinking pink text on the pic.

OH... I just checked my 1and1 account... I have 500GB of bandwidth a month and use like 1 at the moment.

Is that enough?

unless I suddenly get a shitload of free time between now and the end of the month, NT is in no condition to screw with right now.

I'm basically building a new forum... we'll move over the users and posts and such...

arcade will likely go away...

few other cool features...

but we'll make it up by introducing a new and improved feature that will blow everyone away! It'll be great!

Is this what you were talking about? Because shutting down the site isn't the new and improved feature I was looking for.

All I can offer is money and sex. No bandwidth and the only hosting I can do is a comfy couch if you're boy or my bed if you're girl

Yes, how much bandwidth, and what's your average bw/hour (if you hve that info)

I'd host it from my home if it meant keeping it running.

http://www.freedns.com ftw

Hii... I just thought about this...

Go to http://www.1and1.com and tell me what hosting package would support this place or the new site and let me know.

I've been wanting to buy: http://www.captaininsanoshouseoffunandtomfoolery.org for quite some time and create my own internads funny/opinions page for some time...

I'll buy it and put up my site and this one. I can give whoever full dev access and will probably pay for the shit forever.

I'm rich, so just tell me how much money is needed and I can probably handle a large portion of what is needed given a timeframe.

Granted, I don't like many of you all that much, so don't expect ridiculous amounts from me.

It was really was $10,000 but Vonk used it on hookers and meth and "claimed" he never got the money.

The brief time-out reaffirmed my feelings of contempt and hatred I have for you all.
