BattleGrounds.

So recently I have started playing in Battlegrounds. I'm a private, and I feel so important.
Anyway, we always lose. Probably, because these are all pick ups, and everyone wants to tell everyone else what to do, and noone wants to follow orders, so if anyone could give any good tips, it would be appreciated.

If you are in pickups that don't work together then you will lose 99% of the time.
You can't win BG, without teamwork, that being said, what level/class are you? There's some things that each class can do at certain levels that will greatly aid your team even if they are being retard soloers.

No, I play on a different server, on the Alliance side with my old guild from EQ, I still have my horde characters on Whisperwind, but for obvious reasons, I stay away from that server.

get a group of good friends who don't suck at PVP, queue up together, that way you all can communicate well, and get shit done. They got to follow rules, can't just run like a PU and 2 attack a node at a time.
I'm 60, and my server, horde friends and I made a pvp raid group( about 20 or so of us are usually around to get in) we're always full 15 for AB of stacked 60s, and every PU begs to join, because we don't lose a match ever. Not in a few days now.
Queue together with good PvPers, you'll win

What Sus said, whenever I have pickup groups for battlegrounds it is always an iffy thing because pickup people want to be fucking heros and do all kinds of stupid things. When my guild makes a pvp group and ques up together, we all jump on our Ventrillo server and talk on there while we play, this makes for a very tight knit group and we are basically garunteed a win. Plus, its so much more fun to play with people you know.

I leveled to 49 last night and then went through Battlegrounds with me , 2 priests from my guild, and 7 pick ups, it was awesome, we all worked together, and kept winning. Our last battle, Horde was ahead 2 to 0, and we came back and one. The last battle lasted a very long time, seemed like over an hour, we kept getting each others flags and then the flag holders would hide, and it was just great.
One think I noticed that aggravates me is that rogues can't stealth with the flag, noone can mount with the flag, yet Druids can switch into their run form and run with it. That doesn't seem very fair, but hey, w overcame and conquered.

Sus i was in your little "dream" group yesterday and you newbies lost, twice. Your guys are a little bit better than pugs in terms of skill, but still horrible at communicating when you have shadow priests who try to solo stables 1v9 the entire game.

Ahhh... WSG.
Mages are one of the best defenders in WSG I've ever seen. Pair them up with a hunter and a rogue (hunter has track hidden up to spot those sneaky enemy rogues), and you've got no flag carrier getting outside the room.
Between frost trap, frost bolt, frost nova, and crippling poison, they aren't getting very far.
Been playing my rogue like crazy lately. Did two WSG's last night one of which lasted around 1.5 hours. That exact team was our star defense.

sounds like grouping 101, if you group with unknowns the chance of them being completely useless retards is gigantic

QFT
Though on Whisperwind I've been fortunate to get a few groups that have ended up working together better than some guild teams. Had one group that was almost all people from different guilds that got together at random and smoked one of the best alliance teams on the server. Some times you get lucky.

Ah WSG, I miss that battleground. No one ever runs it on Whisperwind.

I'm sure it wasn't full Dream/Regs, as we now stick it to Visions and BoW easily. We 5-0 Every group except those two, and we've just started to 4-1 node them.
Was Roq or Mahaha there?

5-0 ends the matches too quickly, I prefer to get some pvp in instead of trying to decimate the other side. Extra honor is always fun, not to mention I actually enjoy pvp fights.

5-0 = quicker rep, faster I get my epics! Which I finally did, hitting xalted with Defilers, took 3-4 weeks.

Yeah I guess that is a true point, but at that point it just would become a grind and boring like everything else. I like killing people damnit!

Nothings funnier than 2000-0 score, with 1 death.

Why don't you impart some wisdom on us, Taxx? I hated the troll rogue who would camp me. I finally figured out that if I randomly started AEing areas, I'd catch him, then my bodyguards would attack!!!!

Using distract to confuse flag carriers is <3.
