Frequent nose bleeds

Over the past few months I've been getting ever more frequent nose bleeds. I've postponed going to the doctor because a number of reasons could explain it. 1, I've always had nosebleeds now or then because of allergy medication although never frequent and I'm not taking it anymore, 2, I changed jobs 4 months ago, and where I work now has a ridiculously low humidity (temp humidity controlled), 3 I've always been fairly rough when rubbing my nose because of a long history of being congested with allergies.

But it's actually starting to worry me. Do I need to see the Doc with some urgency? Or is it something mundane? Has anyone had a problem with this? WebMD is a lot of help. They think I have leukimia(sp).

I would see a doctor just to rule out the possibility of anything cancerous. It is probably no big deal though, Aryy gets horrible nosebleeds, tons of people do actually and its often just that and nothing else, a nosebleed.

Oh yeah, and lay off the lines of coke, that helps too :)

It's probably not the coke so much as the sticking a pencil through my nose to weird people out though.

It's most likely the low humidity where you work, but I'd see a doc to make sure.

Funny thing, I took my mom to the emergency room once for a nose bleed that wouldn't stop, and the Doc got out his little vial of cocaine(!) and swabbed a bunch up her nose with a Q-tip.

Good luck with that. Go to the doctor and post what's up.
