I'm not a fan of it either
but since my Real Jukebox has been fucked with completely (by real) I need to find a new music player/ripper
iTunes seems to suck, winamp I don't really care for either

Exactly!
Uploading all of my movies to it (pre converting them to mp4
) is taking HOURS.
We won't get into the 15 gigs of music on top of that...

I have no problems with iTunes. Drag and click, take a piss and the 200+ songs are transfered. Goes really pretty quickly.

You don't have a slow computer. Sounds like Harrison doesn't have Firewire or USB 2.0 on his... plus converting ripped movies to mpeg-4 shouldn't take that long at all especially not with his super computer he bought with his high paying job.

There is an ipod plugin for winamp that allows you to transfer teh musikz to ur ipod from winamp versus using shItunes.
apple=ipod same difference.

I have 3 gigs of ram now(pc3200), 10krpm scsi drive, usb2.0, and my processor is clocked at 2.0ghz
I do not have a slow computer.

iTunes IS slow compared to a lot of other programs out there (when its run on a PC, it's fast on a Mac)
it takes almost twice as long to do the same task with itunes compared to Real, or WMP, or musicmatch

iTunes is a resource hog that crashes and glitches out on PC's. Personally I have to have complete manual control over my music library, I don't like iTune's system. Winamp media library for me.
I tried Foobar, but again I like Winamp media library.
