Reggie Howard has proven week after week this whole season how much he fucking sucks and should be cut...Chris Chambers is decent like Nick Saban said and is no where near elite as this season has proved so far also...I can't wait until the draft.

Yeah...this is a rebuilding year for the Phins, hence why Gus Frerrote is still in at QB and Sage Rosenfels is sitting on the bench.

Maddox played bad, but he's a better QB than Batch. There is a reason he is a third stringer.

I'm watching Batch engineer quite a game against the Browns, who aren't half as bad as everyone thinks.

Fins are three to four players from being there. Close, but not quite.

How about Green Bay rolling Atlanta in Atlanta. Falcs are paper tigers and not a very dangerous team.

Best game was the Skins/Bucs. Wow.

Batch looked just awesome against the browns, but the fucking football gods must hate pittsburgh, cause mofaking Maddox got in (and tried to lose the game again!)

It's pretty easy to look awesome against the Browns D. There's also a reason they will rush Roeth back out before they play Cinci again, because neither Batch nor Maddox could fare well against them.

Beating two of the bottom 5 teams in the NFL is not really a good indicator of him.

Batch could not beat Philly, Dallas, Seattle, Washington, Carolina, Jax, Cinci, Denver, San Diego or a host of other teams in my opinion. Sitting in the pocket with zero rush against a horrid secondary is not a real test.

Batch did exactly what he had to do, and is proving he is a solid backup and much better than Maddox. What he isn't is someone Pitt can lean on against a good team, like Roeth is.

they just need someone that won't lose the game for them (ie, maddox)

The steelers run the ball well enough, play good enough defense, and special teams to beat philly, Dallas, Washington, Carolina, Jacksonville, Cinci, and San Diego

that being said, with some more game time, I think batch would be good enough to make some plays to win a game himself

I actually would kind of like to see Randle EL at QB after that pass to Ward

We'll see when they get to the playoffs, they'll probably get a shot at Denver, San Diego, or Jax.

They got beaten by a very mediocre New England team in Pitt this year. Cowher can be outcoached, as has been proven just about every year he makes it into the playoffs.

the only team that has show the ability to semi consistently beat the steelers has been the Pats.

I saw the game. Did you? Did you notice the 25 mph winds? Maddox had to try and make plays because they could not run. Also, comparing Cleveland with their horrid D to Jax is a joke. If Batch was playing he likewise would've done very bad.

Let's look at how they rushed versus Jax, shall we? Again, I'm not even going into a mediocre New England team that beat them at home...

The steelers are a beatable team, but teams need to be able to stop the run and most cannot. The elite ones can and they can and do beat the Steelers year in and year out. It's why Pitt is ecstatic about Roethlisberger because he will make them three dimensional and givesthem a chance against teams that can stop the run and in the past routinely beat Pittsburg. Teams like Baltimore.

We'll see how good Pitt is when they play Indy on Nov 28th.

When you're playing a QB that can't throw the ball(or has a history of making bad throws), you stack the line, and force them to pass

weird how Jacksonville's passing wasn't adversely affected by the wind

You can't stack the line with 4th tier cornerbacks and a D-line that is woeful, like Tenn and Cleveland.

I like Charlie Batch, but comparing his performance against two of the worst teams in the league, versus Maddox versus one of the best is hardly a good judge. My point is Batch probably would've lost to Jax, and Maddox probably would've beaten Cleveland and Tenn. Since Roethlisberger is better than both, it's not relevant.

Jax passing was affected, but Leftwich is head and shoulders above either Maddox or Batch.

for fitting in with how the Steelers play, Batch is a much better fit

Washington should have won that game. The two-point conversion by Tampa Bay at the end of the game was short but the referees gave it to them anyway.

I dont think the Jaguars jabowned them like you said. Even with Maddox 3 interceptions and a fumble, Jacksonville still need overtime to beat the Steelers.

I had that Fantasy game and Philly had their game won if their idiot coach could stop throwing the ball. Dallas didn't stop Lamar or Westbrook rushing.

Great ending, though.
