so how does combat work now?

is it like planetside, ie you aim, you shoot, the blaster goes where you aimed?

or is it still like EQ/WoW/everysuxMMO where you target someone, hit auto-attack/kick and whether you hit/miss is just a math calculation?

I wish planetside was a bit cheaper

fun ass game, but hard to justify the expense when it's only slightly more fun than the original UT :(

Its like PS/FPS where you aim.

Wanderhome is still Wanderhome. They haven't messed with the servers yet. Just the game.

For those of you wanting to try it out, I'd wait a couple weeks. They turned off almost all the new weapons today because of bugs.

it's patching right now, i guess i'll make a char on Wanderhome.

unless someone really rich plays on a different server?

Well, the gayness factor of the demo is apparent as you are limited to the tutorial section of the game pretty much. Based on the demo I wouldn't slap down the money to play.

Well, for 22 bucks you can get EQ2, SWG, PS, Matrix Online, and EQ.
If two of them are amusing, then it's worthwhile.

still wanderhome and still buggy as hell. Of my collection of 30 guns I have mounted on my wall..only about 8 of them work. not good odds. Jedi are flopping and twitching. They have just now learned they can kill any oth3er class besides a trader and that is just barely.

I logged on last night and jumped to Dantooine to have a look around. I had forgotten I was still PVP flagged. Two Jedi Sith with glow(which means they were jedi before the expansion) attacked me comming off landing. After killing those two and the 2 others that showed up after, I started getting the hate tells bitching at me cause the Jedi were reduced to the same skills as a trained money. They seriouesly need to fix some stuff.

You don't sound bitter at all.

I'll probably buy this game now that it doesn't blow.

not bitter just annoyed they dumbed it down so most retards can play it.

I didn't think it was overly difficult to begin with.

I dunno why anyone would start up now with their track record of changing everything every six months or so.

Because it actually sounds fun now?

Its moreso like they changed it from Daggerfall to Oblivion.

It was way too wide open and boring as hell. Most people quit <including you, several times> so they certainly needed to take the game in a new direction.

Given the space combat owns, if they can make it a bit more fun, groupesque and steal EQ/WOW/EQ2s endgame then they've changed it from an ass endgame to something most MMO people want.

The Sims Online folks <Hi Mart!> are pissed but most gamers will prefer the new version. That is when they work all the bugs out.

Bah, I have never played Sims Online. I'm just tired of them redoing the game every six months.

You are not their core audience.

1.5 Million sales with under 200,000 active accounts. The majority of those accounts being from All Access, too.

80%+ cancellation rate = vast changes are needed.

Plus, they are trying to woo in the younger MMO people, and this is a great move for that.

This isn't how I would've designed it, but I gave them credit for trying to fix a game that was tanking, despite the most well known fantasy/sci fi licence in existence.

He's talking about the players who just play to chat and craft, aka you.
