Last night it was about 70 before a heavy storm came in.
I woke up and it was flurrying snow.
Oh my!

Ditto here. With nice 40 mph winds in between.
Gotta love Ohio.

Same here, it's been at minimum 50-70 or so all month, including last night.. then all the sudden, today it's icy
Which is great news to me since I broke my toe last night and I can't walk for shit on ice anyway =\

Left for work yesterday, muddy mess outside. Got out of work this morning, 2 inches of snow, ground frozen, sheet of ice covering my car. Ah Wisconsin. At least the dogs aren't tracking mud around now.

Took me 1 hour and 38 minutes to drive 20 miles this morning. They were going 25 on the highway, and there were cars in ditches everywhere. They knew this was coming, and it was covered in snow at 4am this morning when I let the dogs out, yet they could salt or plow. That is bullshit.

I just came in from outside. I walked 20 feet across carpet in our meeting area, and then up to steps to the hardwood floor area. I then proceeded to slip and fall and bust my knee. I can't tell if I was crying our laughing, but it hurt.

hey were going 25 on the highway, and there were cars in ditches everywhere.
Obviously drivers in Ohio suck ass. What, it's not like you don't get snow every year; do people somehow suddenly lose all ability to drive on snow when they haven't seen it for 6 months? I've driven up to Tahoe in driving snowstorms and not seen anything like that, and everyone on those roads in that are Californians, who only see snow when we actually drive up to it. How then do people with LOTS more experience at driving on snow suddenly turn into the rolling klutz brigade?
I laugh heartily at anyone so patheticly unskilled as to go slip-sliding into a ditch after a few inches of snow merely because it wasn't plowed or salted immediately. Learn to drive instead of bitching about whether or not there are a couple inches of snow on the roads.

Not MY fault you've chosen to live in an inferior State. You guys are hotter in the summer, with mad humidity, we hover at oh, 85 degrees with 40-50% humidity, and in winter, you get frozen water falling from the sky, and we don't get below, oh, hrm, 40ish or so, ever. Thus, the superiority of California to the Midwest and Eastern states is proved yet again!

I whole heartedly agree. It isnt that hard to adjust to different driving conditions, as long as you are careful.

If you wanna watch something funny, check out GA drivers when they get the rare snowfall down there.

I remember about 8 years ago driving home to Texas for Christmas. I was getting ready to drive back to Ohio, and went to fill up. The gas station attendant asked me if I wanted some snow chains for my tires because tehre was a light dusting of snow. That was funny.

Didn't you crash into a beer truck last winter?
Posted: Thu Nov 17, 2005 2:52 pm
by The Kizzy
Yes. We were talking about that this morning. I can't believe you let me drive your Jeep after that. I'm still miffed that I didn't get any free beer out of that.
