TAMPA, Florida -- A teacher pleaded guilty yesterday to having sex with a 14-year-old boy, avoiding prison as part of a plea agreement.

Debra Lafave, 25, will serve three years of house arrest and seven years of probation. She pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.

The former Greco Middle School reading teacher apologized during the hearing, saying, "I accept full responsibility for my actions."

The boy told investigators the two had sex in a classroom at the Greco school, located in Temple Terrace near Tampa, as well as in her Riverview townhouse and once in a vehicle while his 15-year-old cousin drove them around Marion County.

The boy said Lafave told him her marriage was in trouble and that she was aroused by the fact that having sex with him was not allowed. If convicted at trial, she could have faced up to 30 years in prison.

Her ex-husband was on FOX News yesterday, and seemed quite stunned at the sentence.

I'd suggest house arrest and then the sex with the 15 year old girls.

Sure, I found that some decorative sequins and sparkles on your leg transmitter really helps get a conversation started, but it's hard enough getting 15 year old girls in your house, let alone a common interest. I usually play some Green Day and complain about my parents, then flash the sparkly leg transmitter and they're hooked.

It may not be him that ratted her out. He probably getting all great grades in her class without doing any work and his classmates got suspicious.

His cousin told people that the two of them fucked while he was driving the car and someone then told another teacher and his happy days were over. At least that is what I remember reading when this first hit the news.

oh man I wish my 8th grade history teacher would have home "schooled" me. she was fucking badASSS.

If I ever see her again I'm going to pay her for sex. On a teacher's salary I'm sure she would accept bribes.
