Authoring program.

Can anyone recommend something? I need it to work for good, not like 30 day trial shit. Preferably stable, add free and with a good community of free support and I can't stress this enough: easy to use.

I know thats a tall order but any suggestions would be great.

Serif is fun to use-especially for someone like me that has no clue wtf all the buttons and whistles in PSP do.

http://www.gimp.org/

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

This is the official GIMP web site. It contains information about downloading, installing, using, and enhancing it. This site also serves as a distribution point for the latest releases. We try to provide as much information about the GIMP community and related projects as possible. Hopefully you will find what you need here. Grab a properly chilled beverage and enjoy.

And you are a Gimp. np.

How would you compare GIMP's functionality, ease of use and stability to Adobe Photoshop?

Programmer's Notepad is good if you like to do code by hand. Syntax highlighting for most languages built in and it's easy to add more language schemes.

I write code by hand so I can't tell you a good replacement for Frontpage, sorry.

Yah I'm afraid I am looking for these programs more for end users, not so much myself. I'm a dreamweaver guy.

I need a simple/easy to use web design program for the average smacktard to design shitty websites about his/her kids, or the average "hey watch some black guy fuck my wife" website.
