Windows Media Player

Whenever I try to play a file in it it doesn't run right, it just turns all green and really laggy.

Any ideas as to why?

Yes the problems is located in the "Windows" part of Windoze Media Player.

Get fucking winamp and use that.

I do use winamp for almost everything, but some videos online only play in Windows Media Player

Look for a WMA/WMV plugin for winamp. Then you won't need windoze media player. Not sure if such a thing exists but I think it does...maybe.

Holy shit the same thing is happening to me and I think I have narrowed it down to either some codecs or a windows update on media player.

what type of file is it?

If it's a movie you might need a divx codec. http://www.divx.com

Try that shit.

I think my lcd screen is going to hell because the screen for IE and everything else is bright but when i watch movies in media player I have to turn the brightness up. I havent found a way to do that in winamp yet. =(
