Letterman should stick to interviewing celebrities. He has no business discussing anything remotely intelligent, as this interview proves.

He didn't do all that bad. I think he kept it relatively light and humourous which, with a firebomb thrower like O'Rielly, is quite a feat.

I actually don't mind O'Reilly as a personality. The dude knows how to stir the pot like no other.

I thought Letterman came across as extremely condescending and pompous for no reason; taking an interview as an opportunity to take pot-shots at O'Reilly while O'Reilly was just trying to talk about issues. Letterman was also uncharacteristically angry.

My favorite part of the interview came when Letterman told O'Reilly "60% of what you say is crap", and when O'Reilly asked him to give him an example, Letterman said "I don't watch your show" and it goes on from there, showing the world Letterman is a tool.

I found it amusing that Letterman was preaching about tolerance and caring for Sheehan, while showing absolutely zero tolerance for anyone with a differing opinion of the world. It's the mantra of both the radical left and radical right wing.

O'Reilly is a turd and more people need to publicly tell him he is full of shit. Letterman is hardly a representative of the "far left" he just got tired of listening to bullshit.

yeah, I have a friend who I know is a very intelligent guy and is going to grad school for politics and history and he listens to him, I guess he can get past what I see as the static of his personality and obnoxiousness, Bill Maher was another clown that I could barely stand listening to, he essentially only wanted to hear himself talk....
