I want to do a little gaming (Rome:TW is the newest game I actually play), but this is mostly going to be to surf the interwebs, pirate dvds, and do microsoft office related activities.

why do you need a laptop at all?

can get 2-3x the desktop for that much money

I need one for school since half my classes next semester have tests done with computer packages, but the classrooms don't have computer labs.

I'm really partial to the toshiba satellite's for the price and configs your looking at.
