My girlfriend suprised me at lunch today with a xbox 360 and two games (Kameo and Perfect Dark:Zero). Are there any "must have" games? I have COD2 for the PC, not sure if its worth it to get again

Honestly, I didnt really want one all that much, but she was really excited about it.

Also, it seems you can't stream movies to it unless your PC has Windows Media Center OS and your movies are encoded to .wmv....that sucks

I would consider Quake IV must have if you like FPS. Almost done the single player, its been fun the whole way.

DOA 4 isnt bad if you like fighting games.

COD2 is really fun, but if you already have it, eh. Would maybe be nice to multiplay it on the XBOX though.

Condemned is a pretty friggin awesome game, but its short. But it was so fun Ill probably play it again on a harder setting or something.

PGR3 is fun for a racer.

Whats your gamertag? Send me a friend request, NOLAmichael.

If you enjoy fighting sheep and rabbits with different colour schemes for the first 30 lvls, then I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I will only but FFXI if they make 360 only server(Fat Chance).

Heres a breif review of all the games I have played so far:

If you have Live and like multiplayer PD0 is incredible. The single player kinda sucks so dont let that disuade you from playing it online. Kills are a Bit harder to get in PD0 but once you get used to taking burst shots and master the headshot you will love the game. I love doing crazy stuff in it, like running into a guarded flag room unarmed and disarm all the campers so my 2 teamates following me can rip them to shreds.

Kameo is fun if your into the nintendo style games. About 10 hour length which isn't horrible for this style game.

Condemed is just plain disturbing, but i would recomend renting instead of buying due to length.

Quake4 single is cool but I havent tried online yet.

COD2 online needs a ton of work but they are reporting a patch in the works. I won't be doing much online till they implement guest mode.

DOA4 has killer graphics but I suck at fighters:P

PGR3- Meh, I though the screenshots looked better than the game does, of course I am not much of a racer fan.

Gun- I like this game alot, although if you have already played it, its no different on xbox. Worth a rent due to short length. I mined all but one gold and never found the last goldpile damitt!!!!!

On nice thing is that if you are an achievment junkie you get more replay out of all the games trying to unlock all the achievments.

FBI agent chasing a serial killer basically, though its more complicated than that.

played FFXi (sadly) for over a year.. it is the exact opposite of WoW.

by that i mean everything is a time sink, leveling, crafting, hell trying to setup a linkshell aka guild is a pain in the ass. the UI is crap which you cannot alter. on the + side though you can macro absolutely everything so you only have to press a few keys to do things

the only thing i did like was the grouping, cause you had too and it required alot of teamwork and communication. once you got to mid/high levels you would literally spend the first few hours of your day lfg. and since you didnt want those hours before finding a group to go in vain, you had to stick it out in that group for at least 3-4 more hours. only 1 class could solo up to max level and that required you getting to level 30. which was not easy, i'd guess for the first time getting up to that lvl would take at least a month of constant playing.

thats also the other problem. the leveling and subclasses. for an example, if you wanted to play a ninja, you first had to level a class up to 30 to open up the advanced class quests. warrior would be the best option cause if you wanted to be a ninja, no one would take you in a group if you didnt have a warrior as your sub class. being that warriors were the only class that could taunt. and to level the warrior up you need a good sub class and at level 20 you get the quest to get sub classes. so that means leveling a monk up to at least lvl 15 so you could level the warrior up to 30 so you could start leveling a ninja. and since max lvl is 75 you might as well get the warrior up to lvl 37 and the monk up to lv 18 or 19 so you can take ninja all the way up w/out having to stop, regear your warrior and level him up.

its like this for any class.. white mage (main healer)? need to have black mage and red mage as options for subclasses. thief? most common sub was ninja or a warrior. thief was for me the most annoying.. level the monk to level the warrior to level the ninja to level the theif. fun!!! and you had limited inventory and bank space so you literally had to sell one of or classes gear to gear up the other.

the xp system is a joke, rather the worst of the time sinks aside from crafting. you would hear of the fabled super groups getting upwards of 8000xp/hr. which was amazing for that game. normaly it was about 2-5k depending on the group. and thats in the upper levels. its much much worse at lower ones. by the time i quit was up to level 53 on my redmage. was taking about a week or 2 per level by then if i remember correctly. and that was playing everyday (actually xping for 2-3 hours of that day).. trying to get a group and hope they dont all suck so you could maybe get 4000 or 5000xp an hour.. which was a pipe dream.

i finally quit because the time i was putting into the game was insane and i was getting little to no reward.

but hey if you like having to allways group. and fight similar monsters all the way up to 75. getting that uber 5000xp/hr when you need almost 500,000 to get from lvl 60 to 61. then have at it.

there is so much more i could rant about.. so much..
