He could give a shit less over the suspension. He took care of family business. Props to AD.

Any man would have. This league gave him a raw deal, and his stock went up in my book. Not an Artest manuever.

The situation is slightly more complicated than it looks. I know a thing or two about Kendra Davis, being Antonio was a Raptor for about 5 years.

As was originally reported, the man was not drunk. And by his account, which I have a feeling just might be true, it was Kendra "Mrs. Christie" Davis would verbally attacked him for yelling "no foul". Apparently she came after him and tried scratching his face. He also claims that he himself tried getting a security guard on HER.

I'm sure Antonio knew full well that his wife wasn't in danger, but likely it was the other guy that needed saving.

5 games is fine. You shouldn't go into the stands, even if your wife is crazy.

Side note on Davis. He wanted out of Canada because his wife didn't want their children learning the metric system.

Just saw the video

they showed it from a diff't angle and it showed the wife freaking on the dude, and him calling for security

Now he's suing the Davis's for slander, cause they're saying it was his fault, when upon further review, Zanchief was right

I still think Davis did the right thing. Regardless of who was at fault, if you see someone hassling a family member, you have to make sure they're all right, and worry about who was at fault later. Keep in mind, Davis didn't bumrush the stands, punch anyone, or waste tasty beverages. Honestly, if it hadn't been for the clusterfuck at the Palace, I don't think this would be much of a story.

OK. If you have a wife. There is no way you could say that you would not get up in some dude's face IMMEDIATELY if you even thought there might be some possibility that she was being threatened.

so he had a uniform on. tough shiz for him. but he did the natural thing.
I am sure the league is worried about people leaving the court so they will do what they have to do, which is understandable.
He is also a gazillionaire so it is not like it is that big a deal.

He still shouldn't go into the stands.

If you know your wife is crazy get her a nice HD TV with your Glen Grunwald millions to watch the games, problem solved.

If you really think Davis is the bastion of righteousness why did he lie to reporters afterwards about the state of intoxication of the offender?

Shitty situation, shitty wife, 5 games is fine.

i don't think he is a saint, i do guess he could have stopped and yelled for security that was near the court to go up there.

that woudl suck if his wife started it :eyecrazy:

last time I was inthe Sony store in the galleria they had a 72" plasma TV for $20,000 maybe he should grab one of those

I think he had to go into the stands, particularly if he honestly believed the man was intoxicated. From the court, I doubt he had any idea how the situation started, but just saw an altercation between his wife and some guy.

I do think five games is fine. I believe Davis did the right thing, but that doesn't absolve him from the consequences of his actions.

You'd think he was used to seeing his wife get into altercations with people since he's been married to her for some time now.

Watch the video

the wife was the one clearly freaking out on the dude, and you can see the dude calling for security

That's not the issue. What matters is what Davis saw at the time. He didn't have the benefit of replay footage, and there's no reason to believe he was focused on his wife, just on the offchance that something might arise, instead of on the basketball game he was involved in.

The plot thickens. Hopefully we won't see Davis' wife at any future road games.

I don't feel for her one bit. A woman like that has probably shit on countless men for daring to look her way. I'm sure she has all the depth of a mud puddle and the IQ of a sorority girl. However, I STILL would have done the same thing. And, I don't think he should be punished in any way.

It's not like he reacted to someone throwing a beer cup at him, or shouted names at him. I don't doubt that he honestly thought someone was attempting to cause harm to his wife - I see no reason why he should be benched for ANY number of games for doing the right thing.

She freaked on the dude cause he had the audacity to boo her husband

she's the one who should have gotten the 5 game suspension

Seriously, Tikker, pay attention. DAVIS DIDN'T HAVE THE BENEFIT OF THE VIDEO REPLAY. Is that clear enough? He can't be expect to act, or not act on the basis of evidence he didn't have.

You pay attention

Stop defending some dipshit for over reacting and racing into the stands when he had no clue what was going on, for a wife that has a past history of starting shit in the stands
