Kobe "more recognisable and more successful than any football player you have ever rooted for in your entire life so please fuck off and get out of this basketball thread" Bryant.

What did the other 4 guys on his team doing? Standing around picking their asses while watch him hogging the ball?

Handily losing the game until Kobe went nuts.

Yea, we were up by 18 in the 3rd.
I was watching the game with my dad and when Jalen got a deflected ball that led to an easy layup in the 3rd he said "WOW everythings going our way today."
You know the rest.

Keep telling yourself more people know Kobe than Peyton Manning or Mike Vick. The NFL is much more popular and marketed in the U.S. than basketball.
81 is just sick. I wished I had watched that game, although perhaps Kobe might get closer to Wilt's 100 if he keeps up his scoring pace.

You should go to China, smart-ass.

American football is the most popular spectator sport in the United States.
I like it here. Feel free to go to China yourself. Maybe you can learn to drive a cab, and sing 'Hooouston' to your passengers.

Nah but maybe I'll go to every other country in the world except maybe Australia, where the NBA is more popular than Football.
Plus I still think more people in the US know who Kobe is over some football player, because the NBA is a hype machine.
Plus he raped a girl once.

I thought Nascar was actually more popular than the NFL?

I'll check and see, but I seriously doubt Nascar touches the NFL. I know TV ratings, NFL games, etc overall crush NASCAR.
I thought NASCAR was trying to get near Hockey/Basketball. I don't think it's near the NFL, or even baseball.

In the United States today:
* NFL (National Football League)
* NBA (National Basketball Association)
* MLB (Major League Baseball)
* NCAA basketball (college basketball)
* NASCAR (stock car racing)
* WWE (professional wrestling)
* NHL (National Hockey League)
* AFL (Arena Football League)
* WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association)
* MLS (Major League Soccer)
* IRL (Indy Racing League)
NASCAR is moving up though. That's why it just got a mega contract deal with one of the network. I think IRL is listed there because of Danica Patrick this past season.
I always heard that ice figure skating is really popular but I dont see it on this list. Maybe only during the Olympics year.
