Diablo 2 noob question

So I have beat the game on normal, now I can't figure out how to start over to the nightmare level, i think that is the next one, then hell level right?
I talk to everyone, and it just says i finished the game...
this is an online character also, does that make it different?

no, not looking for Baal, online it doesn't give me the choice to begin on a new level type (nightmare or hell)

drink potions
rinse repeat
there now you know how to play diablo

Yeah, Diablo 2 online is essentially WOW without the graphics.
BUT, i like it.......
And, I didn't have to be a certain level, there is an option on the main screen when you are playing online to choose which level to play (normal, nightmare, or hell) I missed that option before because it was small and on the bottom of the screen.....
