Since ESPN will be broadcasting monday night football next year, there will no more John Madden or Al Michaels.

Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser will be part of a three-man booth calling the games on Monday nights next season and Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya will be sideline reporters.

So I guess you're not going to watch Sunday Night Football on NBC?

Football is football. I'll be watching all of it! Including the 8 games NFL network is going to have.

I don't know about the new MNF crew though. I think using the old ESPN sunday night crew would be good. Then substitute the fat guy for Kornheiser, cause he is fairly entertaining.

Yes, that would be good!

I'm a big PTI fan, so I am looking foward to hearing Tony Kornheiser in the booth. I am also excited about the big Sunday night game on NBC where they will be able to pick which game they want instead of relying on last years records to pick the big game late in the season. There won't be another GB v. Baltimore primetime bullshit game late in the season where both teams have 6 wins combined.

DUDE John Madden is INFINTELY less annoying than the arrogant boy-diddler Dan Dierdorf..... OH I HATED THAT GUY.....

Anyway, as long as I can afford cable I dont' really care

Personally I like Madden. He's amusing. He's also good for very inexperienced or very experienced fans. He can dumb things down enough for someone who really hasn't ever watched football. And those of us who know whats going on regardless of what he says, get some entertaining background noise. I think it's the people who are inbetween that Madden may not be so good for.

I'm glad Al Michaels will still be doing games also. He's awesome.

Tirico is HORRIBLE. Those ESPN2 college games were such a pain to watch with him in the box.

Honestly I thought Mike Patrick was the best play by play guy in the business, wish they would have kept the current lineup for MNF.

I also love Kornheiser on PTI but I think he'll be too much like Dennis Miller in the booth.

Tirico though.....God......

Sounds like he's a constipated white guy whever there's a play more than 3 yards.....

I just hate that they changed it. Joe Blow no cable/satellite guy could watch MNF.

As long as it's not the current ESPN Sunday night crew, it'll be tolerable.

PTI is great, and I think Kornheiser will do well.

The new half time show should be video clips of Suzy getting hammered by what ever player of the month she's getting pounded by.

Dierdorf was so fucking awful and useless. Hated that fucktard with a passion.

Close second was Paul Maguire(?) who deserved to be beaten with a lead pipe and who i wished death upon every time I was forced to endure his annoying commentary. With every game he haunted, he had to have someone show his picture when he played and then start the Joe morgan "in my day" shit. God damn I hated that fuck.

Yeah, Mike Patrick, Theismann, and Kornheiser would be a good MNF crew. Why the hell did they go with Tirico over Patrick? What kind of shit is that. Someone over at ESPN needs their ass kicked.

Or, what about Pat Summerall? eh? eh?

I mean from a marketing stand point, they've got to be able to do better than Mike fucking Tirico.
