Gary Purvis of England thought the family laundry dryer would be the perfect place to hide during a game of hide and seek with his younger brother.

But the game turned serious when the door was shut and the machine started spinning.

That's when father Ian heard the yonger bother's screams and Gary's cries. He thought the boys were fighting at first. Instead, he was shocked to find Gary turning around inside the dryer.

"I just yanked the door open, and pulled him out straight away", he said. Fortunately, the seven year-old, Gary, only suffered friction burns and was treated with wet sponges before paramedics took him to a hospital.

"I just squeezed myself inside and next thing I knew it started spinning around. I was shouting for help and banging my hand against the glass, it was really scary", Gary said.

"He must have been there for around a minute. If it had been any longer he could have been dead. He looked terrified", the father added.

Haha... Poor kid... Funny tho .. I got stuck in the trunk of a car once, but I've never even imagined being stuck in a dryer.

We had a cat get stuck in the dryer for over 10 minutes. My brother left the door open and the cat jumped in with a load of warm towels. Brother closed the door, went and took a shower, came out and heard a "thud, thud, thud". Cat was really close to being dead, but it pulled through.

Then it got hit by a car like 2 weeks later.

That cat was supposed to die. Didn't you see any of the Final Destination movies?

Where do you think they came up with the ideas for the Final Destination movies? Their is an underlying feline theme in all of them.

Vonk used to do this to me when we were kids. We figured out that pushing the button on the door that lets the sensor know it's closed will make it spin. Just put pillows around the inside and an 8 year old will fit just fine. No heat dry spin is the key.

Rofl, childhood was so much fun.

I used to "sled" down the flight of hardwood stairs at my mother's house on a futon matress.

OH! We used to play "paintball" with industrial staple guns. Those fuckers will leave a dent in the wall from 30 or more feet.
