Raid ID's and randomness of drops

I've heard rumors in many cases of how the 1st person to zone into an instance determines not only the raid ID but the loot tables.

Has anyone proven this to be true and/or found any rhyme or reason as to what class might trigger each drop?

I see some guilds, for example, with 4-5 sets of bindings of the windseeker and 2 hands of sulfuron. We've been clearing MC fully since July and had 1 bindings drop and 0 hands of sulfuron. Maybe it's just stupid luck but it seems that if our MT zones in we get a lot of tank gear.

It's totally random and people who say otherwise are idiots. It's been posted before by Blizzard that it is.

Think about it, how fucking stupid would it be to code a game to say hey pick loots a b and c if player 1 enters the zone first or is leader of the zone rather than when mob 01 dies pick from loots a b c d e f g?

With that said we've had 1 hand of sulfuron, 3 pairs of bindings and 1 spare half.

also, if you don't loot the corpse, the mob will never respawn

I heard the same thing. I would think it is just a rumor, though.

Here's a good explaination for you. Hopefully people will STFU about it.

Since he thinks that he owns in a game, he feels he has the right to tell people what to do.

What's really funny is he gets made fun of on a couple other WoW forums quite a bit. I used to think that Taxx/ Tacks was funny. Now, he's just pathetic with his elitist attitude. I'd love to know how many times he's been wtfpwn'd. I'd be willing to bet that it's a lot more than he tends to let on.

What other wow forums do I post on other than my server one? All I did was link to a post. I post no differently there than I do here, what the fuck do you expect?

Let me know when I get wtfpwned

When it comes to WoW, I'm sure everyone is tired of the all-knowing attitude you emmulate. When someone posts something about the game, there is Tacks with his two cents and a derogatory comment laden with "you noob" and "LRN2PLAY" when someone disagrees. It's old and tired just like your posts about the game. Almost Mindia-ish if you ask me.

What the fuck do you think I post for? You of all people should understand this by now. Come on, I know you're smarter than that.

Fact:

When we had our Raid leader as Batallion(class x), we received 7 mage hats on Onyxia out of 10 kills.

When we had our Raid leader as Flour(class y), we received six warlock hats and five shaman hats, out of ten kills. We also saw three deathbringer axes drop that week.

I'm sure some of you have experiences with guilds that can receive nothing but xx loot from xx mob. Some of the items are random, but I am positive that certain drops can be influnced by raid leaders ID.

I've never raided in WoW because no one likes me :boots:

I've never raided in WoW because I can't seem to play it for more than a few weeks before I get unexplained bouts of projectile vomit. :(

Although I do enjoy the warrior I created, maybe I can go a month and a half!

You can go flip a coin and get heads 10 times in a row and say it's because the wind was blowing from the north that day and morons in WoW will believe you.

It's obvious because my Cock was pointing NW that day...

Which direction were you standing? Cause ya know, if your body was facing SE, and somehow your cock was pointing NW, well that just sounds like it would hurt. :dunno:

><

Btw, claiming ID is influenced by raid leader or the first to zone in is nice just because it gives you someone to yell at when the loot is shitty :P

I think that's why the rumor was invented. You've solved it!
