Lots of polish people in WI, and I've never heard of it o.O
Granted I've only been here two years.. but I never heard of it in VA, either.

theyre really fattening filled donuts, jellys, creams and what not. somethin like twice the ingredients of a normal donut, it started out in hamtramack (polish town in detroit) as a "fat tuesday" thing. one last splurge before lent.
i was just wonderin if its spreading or not, cause they make a pretty big deal about it around detroit. apparently it has quite a bit if theyre in nebraska.

ya they only have them a few times a year at our local grocery stores so it's kind of a big deal when they're here, they get advertised and stuff. SO GOOD.

My dad used "green apple trots" the other day. He had to explain hisself. My aunt laughed at me.
I 'm not one for jelly filled anything, it hurts my teeth. I prefer the King Cakes.
