I think that's about all you can do. I think all they do is yank on it and try to straighten it out.

depends on how it is hurt, what it is doing, swelling is ice i assume, and i think immobiilizing it so that bone can grow back straight sounds good too....

You can always go talk to my mother, being a physical therapist gives her a good bit of knowledge on joint injuries.

Find some kind of treatment, free clinic or whatever. I broke a bone in my hand when I was younger and had no insurance, I didn't splint it or anything and it healed wrong.

you need to straighten it, and splint it and keep ice on it-like everyone said, and also take 800mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours..which is the same thing as four advil-if you didn't know that too.
don't take the ibuprofen for more than a few days though.
