SF call to impeach Bush

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is at it once again. It has passed a resolution calling for impeachment of President Bush.
Here is some of the other resolutions that the Board had passed recently:
- Condemning the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
- Insisting that the U.S. government comply with international laws on the use of torture.
- Urging Congress to demand that Bush withdraw American troops from Iraq.
- Demanding that Fox News fire Bill O’Reilly.

1. If you're an idiot and put yourself in a bad situation - I don't feel sorry for you, nor do I think we should be risking the lives of American troops so you can get your story.
2. A journalist being kidnapped through her own foolish actions is NOT the same as a group of Americans who could die if "we don't find the bomb in time."

Id bet my life some "sand monkies" had a lot ruffer time than missed breakfast. Beheading is bad. Torture is bad. What makes you think that if someone thinks torture is a bad thing they are for beheading. Perhaps those liberals you despise are against violence in general against a war that puts americans and there reporters in harms way against useing torture against people from countries we shouldnt be in ETC. You might wanna take a smoke break or something it appears that over the years you have grown quite hateful.

I don't like violence anymore than the liberals do. I've been in a war and I can honestly say it's not something I want to go through again, nor do I want anyone else to have to go through.
However, often, and sadly, we must resort to violence to combat violence. The extreme factions of the Middle East do not accept the peaceful means to resolve situations. Killing anyone who disagrees with them is what they know - it's how they function. If they could they would kill every single one of us, for no other reason than because we're American - the great satan - the infidels.
Do you really think that using "peace" talk with a country like Iran is going to work to stop them from building nuclear weapons? Hell no it won't. It will take having to go in there and forcefully dealing with the problem. They're not going to respond to words - they will respond to bombs and bullets though.
The problem with the liberals is that they don't seem to understand this. They seem to think that with hugs and flowers all problems can be resolved - but that's not how the real world works.
If someone breaks into my home and I feel that my life and the life of my wife (if I had one - which at this in time I don't want one) is danger - you're damn right I'm going to resort to violence and put a bullet between the intruders eyes. I'll be damned if I'm going to try and "reason" with him, try to escape, or allow myself and family to be victimized because the poor bastard might have a bad childhood and I should be more understanding of his plight. Fuck that. Now on the same token I'm not going to start a bar brawl because some drunk calls me a name.
With human nature being what it is - there is a time and place for violence - and it is to bad - and I do hope that someday we can mature past this point, but some how I don't ever see that happening within our life times.
We were attacked, we lost thousands of our fellow Americans (I don't give a damn what color, race, religion they were), we have countries that are trying to build nuclear weapons, who are trying to get control of our ports, who want nothing more than to see us dead - and if we have to resort to beating the piss out of a terrorist to get information - fuck it - so be it. I'm sick of trying "talk" to these animals.
Let's not lose site of the hypocrisy of the liberals here. An American officer points a pistol at the head of a piece of shit terrorist to get valuable information and the liberals go ape shit wanting him put in jail. Terrorists behead someone and you don't hear a peep out of them. You don't see a problem with this?

The only person who seems to have very little sympathy for those people was you arguing that they shouldn't have been there in the first place, and that they're journalists only trying toAnd as for this whole liberals are against war bullshit, how about we bring up Afganistan. You, know, the country where the US had actual reason to invade and it found no lack of willing allies. The "liberals" had no problem with that war, because it was justified, hell it's still going on.

What war were you in Diek? I've never been to war myself. But from what I gather from men, I've known, in my life that have been in every war held for the last 60 years. Nobody who's been there comes out takin sides.

Sorina, you have to be the dumbest person ever to post on NT. Seriously, how can you say that you learned it a long time ago; and then say that you have never been to a war? That's rediculous.
What are we fighting for? We're not fighting for world peace. We're not fighting for the safety of other people. We are fighting to ensure the safety of Americans. That's what our military is there for. We have every right to do that. The rest of the world deserves no say in what we do. You might say that this should go both ways. When Iran is building nuclear missiles it is in our best interest to stop them. They don't have the right to build these because we have the right to say they can't, and we're a hell of a lot more powerful country.
