I just started yesterday, so I'm not that far. I just closed the gate to Oblivion and escorted Brother Martin to Waynen Priory. Now we have to go somewhere else... quests...

I stopped the main quest about there to work on the mage guild quests. it's definitely worth it to gain access to the arcane university. there you can make custom spells and enchants.

i have three games all are different
created a halfling mod and have that one doing fighter and arena
have a breton healer doing mage and main quest
have assasin doing theives guild and assasin

i gave myself roleplay parameters for each one, the mage doesnt wear any armor
the assasin only wears light armor and casts illusion spells
the fighter doesnt do magic other then potions

Hey, in the "joining the Thief guild" quest, Methredhel or whatever his name is stole the diary first. I can't kill her, but it says that I can steal it from her. Where is she hiding it? It's not in her shack, and when I pound her into unconsciousness I can't loot her. WTH???

It's in her house very close to the thiefs guild guy that you meet at night. It's in a cabinet or behind it.... one of those.

Don't become a vampire in Oblivion. BIG mistake. It's a pain in the ass.

I've heard a lot of people say that you can't possibly outrun Methredel and get the diary first... like, the 'intent' of the game is to steal it back from her. Maybe I've jacked speed too high or something (on leveling up, not by modifying the game)... but... I totally kicked her ass... I grabbed it right as she was walking towards the chest. She gave me the, "YOU STOLE IT FROM ME" speech... probably the same one you get when you actually steal it 'from her'. I AM FLEET OF FOOT!!

I beat her every time simply by going to the map and quick traveling. Don't even see her until after I leave the house.

I was offered vampirism by homie in the Dark Brotherhood and turned it down. Had a feeling it was going to be more trouble than its worth. Maybe when Im bored or closer to the end of the game ill check it out.

Just made it to Assassin rank. Started over a few times, but sticking with this guy. Fun fun. I suck in face to face melee. But stealth melee attacks X6 damage for-the-win.

I've had it for several weeks and still level 2.

I just saved that dude's farm from goblins though, although one of the retard brothers found die.

No suprise though, I've been sucking at single player games since tomb raider.

all i ever did was just follow her, and then steal the item first

when she took off running, I just assumed she actually knew where she was going, heh

I picked the lock to her house in stealth mode. When I was inside she was standing with her back to me. I pickpocketed the diary off her and she didn't even notice.

I tend to just ask a beggar where the guy lives and run there faster than she does.

I swore I would never bother with another RPG with the advent of MMOGs, but this game is amazing in all aspects.

Gameplay, graphics and quests are all top notch.

I created a custom class named "Dreadlord". Basically a shadowknight.

Heavy Armor, blunt, stealth, restoration, conjuration, speed and chose warrior as the main class.

The customization of the class is just rediculous... Using dark elf I made myself look like Bram Stoker's Dracula...neat stuff.

I'm actually going to try the hard route and do vampirism just to see how it goes. I'm in no hurry to beat the game so i'll be taking my time.

I just got out of the sewers and am about to explore some cave.

The only thing that sucks is no multiplayer... It would be the shit to team up with a few people ala diablo II and lay waste.

It's a shame that no one can seem to make a MMOG with this kind of quality.

I have to say that thus far this is the best video game I have ever played.

Actually I was able to be meth lab to the chest in Imp city and grab it before she did. It is possible just hard as hell. I lucked out because I had just come from that part of town and knew where the dink lived from sneaking around there.

As for the location in her room...its in her chest by the door. wait till 6pm or so to find it in there.

I've closed 11 out of the 16 Oblivian gates. It's hard to find the last 5.

Did you Dark Brotherhood people just pay the 1000 gold fine for killing Caelia Draconis, city watch in leyawin? Ive been trying all damn day to kill her discreetly. Even when she is up in the Inn eating the guards know Ive killed her. Bleh.

Yeah, but I used the gold hack to build up my reserves in case I get busted for picking a lock or offing somebody. Just pay the guards and move on.

What I did to kill Caelia Draconis was say I wanted her dead in some secluded area then had her chase me into a building and I killed her there without getting a bounty.
