what 3 and a half months to go? Am I the only who can't wait for football to return?!?
Who's going this year?
I'm going with NE again. They're healthy and still young. I think this year will yet another Patriots SB.
The Bills are... as long as they beat fishheads team I guess that'll have to be enough for now.

I cant remember being more excited for a season to start. After Katrina, firing our coaching staff, signing a new QB, re-opening the Superdome next year. To ATLANTA ON MONDAY NIGHT, no less.
God damn I cant wait!

Patriots made a shitload of changes and it will be a good show, not sure about the SB again although it's a possibility.
A lot of good talent, they just need to hit their groove early.

I think the cowboys will be there - I think denver over achieved last year, and lost key pieces (Mike Anderson, Jeb Putzier, and Trevor Pryce) Their wideouts suck. They are going to need a lot of rookie contributions to win a playoff game.
I would say Cowboys vs. Colts. With Indy winning.

Deuce is the big ?
Even when he wasnt hurt the past couple of years, he was basically fat and out of shape. Haslett's teams were a conditioning failure.
I saw a pic of Deuce at mardi gras a couple months ago and he was thin! So Im hoping he is the old deuce, the one I used to see break 4 tackles then run 70 yards.
But, as backup, we signed Michael Bennett also. Probably the fastest RB in the league. Hes not good as a workhorse, but combined with deuce, give him 5-8 touches a game and we might have a seriously lights out running game.
Oh yeah. The vets were whining at our first mini camp about how Peyton was working them, making the run from drill to drill. That is a great sign that he wont tolerate bullshit like Haslett did. Totally different tempo this year, things look good.

The thing I'm really curious to see, is who takes that 4.38 40 tight end, and if that speed translates to a real threat~

Unless he's playing wideout, it's more important how Vernon both blocks and runs routes than his speed.

There is no way Dallas wins the NFC East. It will be either the Redskins or the Giants.
As for the Saints, I think you guys need a new #1 WR. Horn is still good but he is declining into a number 2 and I just hate Stallworth. Oh and fix that defense.

Well, I would say the NFC east is the toughest division in football - however, the redskins don't have a chance. The giants and cowboys have improved vastly, while the redskins added some second string receivers, and don't have a first round pick, so they have little chance of adding any type of impact player there. I'd say the NFC east gets two into the playoffs though, Dallas and NY

Noticed I was VA and picked on the Skins huh?
We added our biggest aquisition of the offseason a week after the Superbowl. Al Saunders. You know that guy who created the Greatest Show on Turf in St. Louis. The guy who made K.C. offense one of the best in the NFL for 3 years. Oh and what wide receivers did he have in KC?? Jonnie Morton? Dante Hall?
Mark my words: Dallas will not make the playoffs.

KC and St. Louis had something that Washington doesn't - the best playmakers in the league in the backfield. I like Portis, but he can't hold Marshall Faulk or Priest Holmes jocks when they were in their prime.

You wouldn't put a guy like him at wide out or at least tuck him in the slot from time to time? How many MLB's or even OLB's can match up with him?
It'll be interesting.
I'm still trying to figure out why the Texans don't make a deal with the Saints to draft Reggie Bush then trade him for the guy they want +picks.

Defense is already geting fixed. Peyton has brought in two LBers that are better than any of the garbage haslett was starting, Scott Fujita and Anthony Simmons. LB was the weakest unit on the team for Haslett's entire tenure. Which is hilarious, seeing as how he was a smashmouth LB when he played. What a dumbass.
Horn would be the ultimate possession receiver if we could just find a burner to go with him. Stallworth hasnt looked all that good. But Im giving everyone a pass. How can anyone know how good anyone on that team actually is? Horrible coaching staff and all. Plus Devery Henderson caught a few balls last year, he is lights out fast also. Shrug we will see, cant wait!
Oh yeah, we have a 6'8" TE weve been grooming that finally started coming into his own last year. Zach Hilton. Watch out for this kid. Great stats over last half of last year.

If you mean intermediary threat, then absolutely. He will run by most linebackers, who'll be trying to cover him.
If you mean deep threat, I don't think it'll be great, simply because the speed of NFL secondaries is such that a 4.4 guy, regardless of his size, just isn't going to be running by too many people. He won't be going past most cover 2 Ds.

or none, if your secondary is good and you have speed at linebacker.
