Xbox 360

Just got mine and went and bought 3 games.
I actually got my 360 from one of those banner ads. I saw one about 4 months ago for a "Free XBox 360!". I figured "what the hell" and made a yahoo email account. I signed up for a bunch of crap and spent about $40 on shit I would never use fully expecting to get taken. I just got my 360 today. No shit... it actually worked. $40 and about an hour worth of filling out online forms and shit is not a bad deal for a 360! I don't know if any other ads for ipods, laptops etc are valid but I got it from a company called "Gift Reward Center" or something like that.
Anyhow, I bought 2 used games and one new one. I got Quake IV since I never played the PC version, Oblivion and Ghost Recon. So far the games look great in 1080i and sound fantastic in 5.1 but the fucking console sounds like a server. It's LOUD... is there something wrong with mine or do they all sound like that?
I haven't checked out LIVE yet because my router is downstairs and my TV is upstairs but I am considering buying a wireless adapter for the box or just pulling a cable run to the living room.
