Ogre Battle

So who here has played/beaten this old SNES game? I started playing it when I was young, rushed through it and got a horrible ending. Since then, I have replayed it almost 10 times, each time I get more into for a period of weeks to a month. It's funny how when you play something when you are younger you get this mental image/feeling of a game and when you go back and replay it the game seems totaly different.

ive never got a chance to play ogre battle for snes, but i do own tactics ogre for ps1... which is like fftactics but way more in depth.
Ill have to download this since i didnt even know there was one for snes.

I got to the very end and my bastard cousin stole my memory card and erased the save. I haven't gotten around to playing it again since. Great game though.

i played it but it was a rental and i couldn't beat it before my mom got mad and made me take it back
if i saw it i'd buy it

Great game, used to spend hours on it. Beat it multiple times, hmmm perhaps i need to dust off the old Snes and play some Ogre battle. That and the legend of zelda....oh yeh!

I liked Tactics Ogre much better
I ahve the ps1 version, as well as the gameboy version
great games, much better/harder than FFtactics

FFTactics was much prettier and better produced. Ogre Battle had it beat on raw gameplay.

yeah the guy that made tactics ogre also made the original ogre battle, but he didn't make the tactics ogre: knights of lodis or ogre battle 64... he got hired by square to make fftactics and fftactics advance

knights of lodis is pretty ok, but it's not nearly as tough as tactics ogre

Tik did you ever get to the bottom of the hell gate for the second time for the contest item?? I dont remember what it was called, but after you got it when the game was new you were supposed to take a picture and send it to the game headquarters for a prize. (first and only time ive ever seen that on a game btw)
My favorite thing to do with the stuff from there was turn my guys into the best swords in the gamewith that dragon magic,haha

man, that's not even vaguely ringing a bell
it's been too long, I should haul it out and see what's up with that game again
