I still haven't beaten oblivion because I kept starting over but I have finally gotten a build that I really like and frankly whoops major ass.

Let me know what you think:

I did a custom class.

Combat focused.

I have Thief as my deity for the stat bonuses.

My seven skills are:

Light Armor
Blade
Marksman
Illusion
Mysticism
Sneak
Block

I immediately entered the world and went and began the Dark Brotherhood quest which gets you the Blade of Woe and the Brotherhood Armor.

With mysticism and archery and blade, using detect life I am a murder machine. Where I used to get pretty well owned by most NPC's I take them down with ease.

I'm pretty much playing an assasin in this game and really enjoying it. I'm also a vampire. To add realism I wear a ninja costume and plastic fangs which heightens the experience

Anyways just thought I'd share that.

I'm curious as to how playing a caster in the game pans out?

Detect life is the single most useful spell in the game IMO

Whatever you do... try to increase your acrobatics at all costs. Maxed out acrobatics OWNS.

sneak is the most overpowered skill in the game~

Does anyone know how to just turn off the guards stupid aggro completely?

I am running no psychic guards and the minute I kill some dude in the middle of no where the next time I go to a city I get arrested. Its the dumbest feature in the game so far.

I jsut want to permanently turn off the guards aggro.

Type TGM in the console and you won't have to worry about the guards anymore. :P

yah i found this nifty command too..

Hit "~"

then type: player.setcrimegold 0


it gets rid of anything that will aggro the guards. Pretty stupid to have to use it when you kill someone in the middle of nowhere but it works none the less.
