Who goes to Iceland anyway?

Tomorrow I take off for a Northern Euro Trip. Heading up to Iceland for a few days, then over to Norway (Bergen and Oslo) for a week.
I learned how to say the essential "I need a beer" in Icelandic, but that is about all I know.
If anyone has any suggestions or travel tips, I would love to hear them.
Thanks )

I dunno about Iceland, but just about everyone in the bottom half of Norway speaks English. All I made it out of there with language-wise was Takk (thanks) & Tussentakk (thousand thanks). And if you're gonna be in that country you'll be kicking yourself if you don't make it to Trondheim. I was trapped in Oslo, really wish I could have gone up there afterwards, it's absolutely gorgeous.
The viking-ship museum in Oslo is pretty spiffy, too. Small, however. You can take a cheap ferry there from downtown. And the beer is expensive and sucks. Rice beers and Guinness.

Your so lucky, my girlfriend lives like 120 miles away from Oslo... And its going to cost me 1,286 dollars to fly into Oslo out of LAX if i wanted to go visit her this summer, but thats a lot of fucking money jeeesus. Anyone know of any sites that have really good prices for international airfair? (kind of unheard of now adays though D= )

Update! Iceland has been cool, we´ll be going to Bergen and then Oslo next. Will post pictures when I can find a free wi-fi spot to use my laptop. In other news, Polonious has successfully been recruited into a human trafficking operation based out of Reykjavik - he´s going to get $1000 for every US girl he gets to come to Iceland for whatever this dude that was buying us drinks last night wants.
p.s. try the hotdogs here
Pix!

Warmer due to global warming.

Only if you consider July being warmer than January to be the result of global warming...

What didn't you like about it? Me, I thought a lot of the scenery, especialy Norway, was absolutely spectacular and really gorgeous. I'd sure as hell go, if I could afford it.

There's a LOT of other places I'd rather go than there. Iceland would be near the bottom of my list actually. I'd like to go back to Germany first off, then Russia, Australia, New Zealand. Then maybe England, Italy, and France.
