Everyone is on myspace, some people predict that jobs will use your myspace history as a background check sort of thing.

Some kids are getting suspended at school etc for pictures they put of themselves on myspace doing drugs and drinking. For example, Cheerleaders and Atheletes sign the forms that say they won't drink or do drugs during the season (or is it year long?) and some dumbass girl put a picture of herself drinking and dated it on myspace, someone found it, reported it, and now she isn't on the team anymore.

The internet isn't a magical land where there are no reprocussions for your actions, only NT is good for that.

hehe... for me it was the Taiwanese... Me and Smackage Package ruled Fungus Grove with iron fists for like a month.

Paradise, Kylin Eyes, Lost Danger Soldier all of them were brought to their knees in a bloodbath of mushroom carnage.

The "bass fishing" troglodyte springs to mind as well. I think that far exceeded any of Ixnay's antics.

I asked him if he was going to post on NT anytime soon, and he said NO. I pressed him a little while to see if it was the real him and from my best guess it was... He is a rather erratic dude.

Oh my, that is one of *THE* classic NT Drama explosions.

OK, go wayyyy back to Kunark era here. The original leader of LOS is a guy named Draed. He, at that time, had retired from EQ and was no longer playing. Now, LOS at the time had a collection of asshole foulmouth types that often would put even Ralf to shame. (you'd have loved 'em, Ralf.) One of the most foul was this guy who played a gnome named Abou.

Now, the leader of Sanctuary was Fell, who was relatively psychotic to begin with. He *HATED* LOS, rabidly. His RL wife played, under the name of Goldlilly.

Now, Abou went and posted something to the effect of "Goldlilly gives bad head but good anal". Fell went berserk. He demanded an apology from Abou, who told him to fuck off.

Finally, he somehow managed to track down Draed's RL phone number and personal details about him, and the first words out of his mouth on the phone were "I know you like bass fishing", meant as a death threat. (implying he knew where he lived, lots about him, etc. since Draed actually DID like bass fishing) I understand the conversation deteriorated from there.

So, to recap, Abou posts something filthy about Fell's wife. Fell goes completely unglued, and contacts his most-hated nemesis, Draed, despite the fact that Draed had been retired for months, simply because Draed USED to be the guildleader of LOS. Fell then proceeds to make death threats over the phone, and hang up.

Draed posted what Fell did, and the beauteous drama thread unfolded, with most people pileing on Fell, and him and his more fanatical cronies defending him.

It was a masterpiece of drama. Easily the equal of ES BP For Sale, etc.

I dunno if that's what made Draed come back or not. Remember though, Stampi wasn't the original name of Draed's new character. Originally, it was Gannganngann Gannganngann. Or was, at least, once he hit L20 and could give himself a last name. Valdelmar, who had by then learned what Gann meant, finally saw it and mae him change it. heh.

ahhaha... that was awesome, just awesome. What time frame was that in relation to Trak to Reet Room? Thats about when I started really paying attention to NT. I also remember the thread regarding Sanc blowing the Dain spawn, or was it Los blowing the Dain spawn? hmmm

My god oldschool everquest was just beautiful in so many awful ways. Had I been hardcore a little earlier I would have weaseled my way in LoS.

I really think SOE owes LoS and guilds like FoH some sort of royalties... The shit these guilds stirred up was press you couldn't pay for.
