What you guys think of the new MACbOOk?

Friend of ours loves his.

I personally can’t stand Mac OS but everything I have heard about them is good. Hardware wise they run really well. They also tend to be on the expensive side.

My next laptop will be a Mac. Gid will accept this one day. For what I want to use it for, it's pretty good (pictures, music, webpages, random reports for school). Plus, they are prettier than most normal laptops. I dont like black or silver much

Go to a computer store and play around with one to see if you like how it works. They are expensive but I still like them.

Aren't they a bitch to develop for ie they get their software on the market months after the PC gets it? I'm kinda interested in the Mac myself but not if I have to wait 3 months more for everything.

Woman, my man isnt in the Army *yet*. Plus, he's going to get paid more there than he is in his current job. He isnt going in as a grunt, so that's more money. We live comfortably now (excluding his mother living in my house)...comfortably financially, so this is just more money. Win/win.

Hmmm.. but i heard MAC now can install windows? So you guys think i should get it? Its USD 1180 in Malaysia for the 60GB one.

dude... you do realize there is no promise that you'll get an OCS or Warrant slot, right? Regardless of what the recruiters tell (which 90 percent of the time they are full of shit), it is ultimately up to your commander if he/she want's to let you go.

Right now with all the shit going down around the world, you might find youself being enlisted for a very long time.

I like Mac as well. I just wish they weren't so costly and so propietary (sp).

That's about what the cheapest Macs here sell for. The most expensive can run up to close to 3 grand.

They're a good computer, just to freaking expensive. Apple's are like the BMW of the car world. People are willing to pay more to have something "cool."

Reminds of me of one of my coworkers. This chick comes into the lab every morning with a 5 dollar cup of Starbucks. The SAME coffee, with the SAME taste can be bought one block down at a local coffee shop for 2.75. But, hey it's not en vogue or cool if it's not in a Starbucks cup!
