The Detroit Lions announced today that president/G.M. Matt Millen has been appointed to the NFL's competition committee by commissioner Paul Tagliabue.

I thought this post was about him getting fire from the Lions. Maybe he will be good at this since he sucks at player personnel.

Matt Millen is responsible for less competition than any NFL GM. I doubt this appointment will help him much.
