Suspect arrested in JonBenet Ramsey case

John Mark Karr was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand for the murder of JonBenet Ramsey on December 26, 1996.

I find it interesting that they arrested someone for the murder so recent after the mother's death.

I never thought that the parents had anything to do with Jon Benet's death. It didn't make any sense whatsoever.

He admitted to doing it, but said it was an accident. He was in love with her and was trying to kidnap her.

It's also been said that there were no drugs in her system. Whether he really did it or not the guy is a certified whack job.

i remember watching the trial and couldnt believe that the prosecution did not even think to say something like this.

I didn't care about this story when it first happened, why in hell should I care about it now? How many kids get killed or die from being poor and out on the streets every day? The only reason people gave a damn about this one is because the parents were well off and the kid was a "young beauty queen". (leave aside how fucked up a concept having beauty pagents for 6 year olds is).
So the caught the guy. Yah-fucking-hoo. Why not dedicate some of that manpower to, say, Phoenix where there's an active serial killer going around rapign and murdering young women right now.

Yeah, but I think they are going to let the suspects go because none of the victims are well-off beauty queens.
