a haircut and -color. recommendations, please!!

guidelines: nothing too short as far as length, or too crazy as far as color. i DO have to show up to work and be respectable hehe...

i know it's asking a lot... but serious suggestions, please?

the most recent pics in my album (curly hair with roommate and straight hair with brinstar) are the most accurate representations of how my hair is now.

Your face is almost that same shape, and I love that haircut. If my face was less round I'd consider it myself, so I reccomend it to everyone in hopes I can live vicariously through them. :)

Is that an airbrushed picture of Dr. Cox's wife?

It's Dr. Cox's wife (Jordan), but I don't know if it's airbrushed. She looks pretty much how I remember her looking in the show. I think she's a pretty woman.

Which is probably why you should go with the Cornrows.

She looks like the woman on the Drew Carey show.

It'd take some styling, but I think with the styling you'd need to do to get the ends to flip out like that, it'd straighten or minimize curliness. I don't know this for a fact though, since my "styling" routine = pony tail. You'd have to ask whoever cuts your hair, or other girls who are more familiar with styling their hair.

And I think you *could* pull off something that short. I can try to photoshops it when I get home using one of your pictures to give you an idea of what it'd look like. No promises on any sort of quality, as your hair is a different color, so I can't cheat and copy/paste & blend it on there.

I think people should work with what they have naturally in order to get the best results in any style. In other words, when I try to put any kind of curl in my hair, it usually ends up that I've done a lot of work for nothing. when I try to make my hair go into a direction it isn't meant to go...it ends up looking just like that. something that isn't meant to be.

take what you have and work with that. Personally, I am of the opinion that curly hair needs to be long and flowing.

You have many options with long hair-you can bun it up and let some side-bangs fall beside your face, or pigtails, braids, little mini-buns in the back of your hair (usually two) with some pins holding free pieces back. there are so many cute things you can do with long hair to make it seem as though you don't have just one style. (at least that is what I do with my hair in order to keep from getting bored.)

consider any cowlicks and where your natural part is, also.

When I or my girl cuts my hair...I also make her cut it two different ways. She starts out with everything and when she's all done, I pull it back to reveal front/side bangs and she cuts those separate. It looks like I have two different hair styles. which was my goal.

take some time to think about your face, your clothes, and your individual style and put some ideas on it. mix and match-think bangs, think short bangs. think long bangs. no bangs.

think layers, or no layers. or long layers.. think about what you can do to enhance your features. you have huge eyes and a huge smile...girls with those features look AMAZING with short hair, although I am not sure I would attempt the style in that photo...but I only say that because it's a straight style and you're curly. I also say that with the idea in mind that it must take a lot of work to make her hair look like that. I can't imagine spending any more time than ten minutes on my hair, so I have chosen a style that allows minimal prep time. consider how much time you're willing to spend on your hair, is what I mean hehe.

1. The spiral curl thing is very unflattering for you. Bigger waves if you're going to do curly.
2. Dark red! Red streaks or red hair (like a deep copper penny) with honey-blonde highlights on you.

You would look amazingly cute with a really short do. I love the cut on the woman in that pic Maeya posted. I think that would look fantastic on you.
