Iranian President Ahmadinejad has called on Bush to participate in a direct television debate so Iran can voice its point of view on how to end world predicaments, with one condition of no censorship.

Who do think would win?

Bush will never do it. He can't handle talking to anyone from his own country without a script.

If the Iranian President was seriously interested in discourse he'd just arrange a sit-down with Bush and then discuss it. This is just showboating.

Because he know's he's smarter. Either that or he wants to convince the people IN the US that he isn't the evil monster they think he is.

Like I said..he's showboating and not serious about the topic.

You say showboating, like it isn't common place for politicians to use the media to help themselves. If all he's trying to do is give the American public a more honest view of the world, I don't think you should fault him for it.

Bush would never accept, he has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I say throw em on tv no time limits to answer no commercial breaks and let them have a debate. Id love to watch. I think all political debates should be done that way.

I cant stand how you watch the news or a news"debate " show and all answers are too short and no one ever gets there complete idea out there. How the fuck you gonna make an educated opinion from listining to someone talk for 17 seconds then getting cut off.

No, if he was serious he'd not waste time on a bullshit debate. Like I said, he'd sit down and hash it all out.

And if he lies, your president has the mental fortitude to call him on it and make him look stupid...

Whether you believe him or not is completely up to your Tunnel Vision, Fin, but what the Iranian President wants to do is explain himself to the international community. It seems you've made up your mind without listening to a word he's said. Your president would be proud of you.

No, he'd release a public statement or announce it via television if he "wants to explain himself to the internation community."

Debating our president is just a farce.

Puppets don't debate with the most powerful man in the world over why they're hiding their nuclear weapons program behind a "peaceful energy program".

I dont see any problems with a debate. I think if were gonna condemm them call em axis of evil and terrorist supporters and shit we should give the man his day in court. If bush and crew arent full of complete shit than he should have no problem making this guy look like a clown. Id like to hear what he has to say to bush and to us in general.

Hell, RIGHT NOW the US is supporting (or just was, before they all got beat) Somali Warlords. Yes, the same group of people we were fighting 8-10 years ago, who brutally oppressed the people, etc. You know, they made Blackhawk Down about fighting against somali warlords. And as of just recently, they were getting mega-$$$ from the CIA.

Even though it's pretty subjective, I'd hold out on putting that gem on his resume.

political debate is one of the better ways of expressing platform and intentions

Just think of it this way.

Would you like to see one of the rightwing pundits like Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity debate with the Iranian president? Would you at all be worried about how they would come off? No way. You know they'd make him look like an ass. The problem here is you have to coddle Bush because he's got the IQ and a shit flinging rhesus monkey.
