I have a laptop and a PC on the SAME network. Yet, once and a while I'll be able to access one page on the laptop, while it wont load on the PC - or visa versa... wtf... why?
It'll come up "cannot display page" on the laptop, but I'll try it on the PC and it'll work fine - or - again - visa versa...

Do a tracert on both and see where you get to. Do you try multiple pages when you get that problem or do you just switch to the other computer when it happens?

Alright, let me give you an example.
I'm at home on the laptop, try to pull up NT - get page cannot be displayed. Pull up Google it works fine, pull up other pages they work fine. Thinking maybe NT is just down - go to desktop - pull it up and it works just fine. Go back to laptop - still wont come up. Next day, try it on the laptop and it works just fine. It's very strange.

Next time it wont come up. Run the following commands (obviously replacing domain.com with the domain you are trying to get to)
ping domain.com
traceroute domain.com
telnet domain.com 80 Then if it connects run the command "get" and you should get a result similar to whats below.
penpen@balthazar:~$ telnet namelesstavern.com 80
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to namelesstavern.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
get
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<TITLE>501 Method Not Implemented</TITLE>
</HEAD><BODY>
<H1>Method Not Implemented</H1>
get to / not supported.<P>
Invalid method in request get<P>
<HR>
<ADDRESS>Apache/1.3.34 Server at balthazar.mgmcomp.net Port 80</ADDRESS>
</BODY></HTML>
Connection closed by foreign host.
Let us know what the results are to those.
