They just ranked them on sales for the most part and keep in mind this is only for stuff released since 2000, not a "best games of all time" list by any stretch.

how was the sims ranked higher than WoW if it's based on sales?
they had 1.7 million for WoW when they're clearly over 4 or 5 million
I didn't see Lineage on the list either (1 or 2)

Obviously 1.7 mil for WoW is wrong.

maybe they're like most other americans and only count games sold in the US and assume nothing else exists

Especially since none of the Koreans or Chinese have to buy the game. The 1.7m number is most likely correct.

Actually if they are going on released reports the most up to date one for vivendi is from last quarter 2004.
When the game first came out. 1.7 might be accurate from then.

My favorite PC game of all time would probably be Everquest. That provided the most hours of enjoyment imo.

That is the worst F'ing list I've ever seen.
That being said, my all-time favorite is the original Half-Life.
