So I'm downloading a lot of old games...

Castlevania: Symphony of the Nights

One word: Own.

I have my PSX emulator running like a dream (with better graphics than a PSX).

Controller is working well too, I even got the analog to work. I got the emulator to run all of my PSX CD's too, which I heard was a bitch to do.

I'm a nerd about Symphony of the Night.

I've played through the entire game without using any equipment.

Also, I've gotten everyone item. FYI, there are no wasted inventory spaces. The ammount of spaces in every category is the amount of items there are.

God I'm sad...

This isn't your typical Castlevania game, it is an RPG in the traditional platform style of Castlevania's previous titles.

New equipment has stats, not just "it hits harder" etc.

Armor slots, combos to cast spells, different forms etc.

http://www.epsxe.com/download.php

I use 1.6.0 and have no problems.

A lot of people use 1.5.2 for some reason.

That is the GPU plugin I use to tweak the graphics. Plugin installation is simple, just copy the DLLs into the "plugins" directory within the EPSXE installation folder. Then hit the config once you have it running. (note: you can't configure the graphics while a game is running, lots of rebooting the game to tweak)

That is the Sound plugin I use, sound is a tricky thing and you will just have to work trial and error until you have all of it working.

FMV sequences sometimes require something to be checked off depending on the game. Simple to fix, but it is different for everyone depending on various things.

Castelvania-symphony of the nights is going to be on xbox live this month some time. Gonna get it.

Also Mortal kombat 3, Sonic, Contra, and super contra all this month. For sure getting some points and buying these.

If you like any of the Dragon Warrior games, I suggest you find DW5. Easily the best game in the series. There is a translated version out there, and they did an amazing job. The group was called DeJap and I am fairly certain that they no longer exist but they churned out a good dozen or so translated roms.

I rank Dragon Warrior 3 among the best RPGs I've ever played.
