What is up with officials this year

Is it just me or are the officials sucking it up this year. The bad calls are just rediculas. Look at Giants Eagles. Intentional grounding, official threw the flag what 30 seconds to a minute after the play ended, the damn guy folded under the pressure of the Eagles D yelling and the fans and threw the flag to make them happy. I guess he ignored that the person running the route to be where the pass was going was blocked by another official.

The officials should just let the Giants lose, they dont need their help.

While I am ranting,

Whats up with the Phi Def? Do they usually celebrate after every signle tackle every single game? Even on shitty plays they are strutting.

intentional grounding like that is always a late flag

they always conference with the other refs to make sure there was no eligible receiver in the area

it was changed to this way a couple years ago

before they used to just throw the flag early

then conference, then sometimes pick up the flag, which led to more gayness than throwing it late IMO

Speaking of bad officiating, did anyone see the end of the Oklahoma / Oregon game? Even WITH replay they screwed OK twice and handed the game to Oregon.

Why is a Pac-10 crew doing the USC / Nebraska game?

Why is a Big 10 crew doing the Michigan / Notre Dame game?

Both huge games nationally and both with very biased calls benefitting the corresponding conference team.

Really shady stuff going on this year.

I have to agree with th e Oregon game, I may have wanted Oregon to win, but I would rather they won without the officials help. Those calls at the end were horrible, the officials gave them the win.

For what its worth, the PAC-10 suspended the officiating crew and the instant replay officials that worked the Oklahoma-Oregon game for one game. It's not going to do the Sooners any good though.
