Just got the e-mail, EB Games/Gamestop are accepting Wii preorders tomorrow on a first come first server basis. It requires a $50 down payment and only one per person because of a limited supply.

Most of them usually open at 10 AM and I expect them to be sold out before 10:30.

I just called the local gamestop that said to show up early early. For the ps3 he said people were already lining up before 9am, and they sold out in minutes. >< Of course there supposedly are going to be more of the wii than ps3 being sold so hopefully won't be as bad.

500k ps3 at launch(about the same as 360 i think)

1mil wii at launch and nintendo says they should have about 4million by the end of 06'

I went to pre order Wii today, and the EB guy said they were all sold out in less than 8~ minutes. Sad panda But, they'll be getting more pre orders in before launch, he said EB is staggering their orders so that Ebayers don't buy all of them up at once in bulk.

Also, he just got back from a game show in Dallas, and he told us that he couldn't walk away from the Wii, but the PS3 was clunky and barely held interest...apparrantly that was the response from the majority of the people there.

my whole town is only getting 12 wii total /sad
