SaskTel First in North America to Deploy HDTV over IP
13 Oct 2006

On Monday, 16 Oct 2006, SaskTel President Robert Watson and Minister Responsible for SaskTel Deb Higgins together with key suppliers (i.e. Alcatel, 2Wire Inc., Tandberg Television, Widevine Technologies, Motorola and Kasenna Inc.) will announce that SaskTel is the first company in North America to launch High Definition TV (HDTV) over IP. The news conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. and will be webcast live on http://www.sasktel.com.

This has been a huge portion of my worklife for the last 2ish years. My role was basically to capture subscription growth trends, apply these numbers to the projected overall growth, and then plan the actual installation dates of remote cabinets

6 years ago, we didn't offer TV. To go from there, to the first to HD over DSL in NA is not too shabby, imo

SaskTel is a shitty name for a company. You might want to pass that note in the next staff meeting. You can use my name if you want.

QFT, marketing makes or breaks companies, not the products they make, but how they are marketed.

EDIT

Congrats BTW :)

well, since SaskTel is short for Saskatchewan Telecommunications, I think we're doing alright
