need addons to make life simple

i'm trying to track down some addons that i vaguely remember having, but can't find anymore

Smartpet - this one got jabowned by a patch or something, and PetExtend seems to have similar functionality, but hasn't been upgraded for the lated patch. (attempts to regulate focus use for pets, keeps pet from chasing mobs in dungeon, etc)

PetDefend - this one used to allow you to select a party member to defend with the pet, and if that person got agro, pet would go attempt to taunt off the mob. was pretty slick, if only situationally useful

resource mapper - can't think of original name, but basically it kept track of where you mined/picked herbs etc etc

i downloaded some compilation thing tonight, and it had a shit ton of neat addons in it, but not all were up to date yet

resource mapper is just called gatherer

go to curse gaming.com not sure if they have an update for 2.0 patch yet though.

You can get Gatherer at http://gathereraddon.com/ but the authors have not yet updated it for the 2.0 patch.

Due to the fact that many of our developers are extraordinarily busy with real-life concerns at the moment (such as exams etc), we are postponing the release of all 2.0 addons for 2 weeks after 2.0 is released on the live servers. (this will make it around the 19th of December)

i am usually happy as long as i have outfitter, ctra, and titanbar (/loc, $, durability, system performance, and bonus tracker)

atlas is okay but i could do without it easily

and the patch broke waaambulance :(

aside from those everything is still default

what's titanbar?

the compliation has some neat neat stuff, but there was so much of it, that I had no idea what to do with the shit

I'm not going to be a real pvp'er (i goof around occassionally, but like and hour a week) so don't need anything along that line

Blizz has put in many more controls on UI's now.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 7169&sid=1

There you'll see the breakdown on all the new script commands.

Finding a good stand alone mod is difficult presently. Gypsie is gone, as is gatherer.

Ace2 has pretty much anything you'll ever need:

http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Main_Page

As a replacement for Gatherer, which would track resources, I'd suggest Cartographer.

/petautocaston [Harm] Growl; [target=targettarget, harm] Growl

I don't play a hunter, but I'd try some script like the above to do that since many mods cann't get autotarget features. If the target is hostile, it will taunt it, or target a player whose target is hostile and it'll taunt it. You might be able to do a /stopcast /petpassive script on the same button as well.

titan bar is an information bar across the top of your screen. it lowers your minimap and character icon/healthbars accordingly (or you can have it auto-hide like the windows taskbar)

you customize it to display information such as system data, zone and /loc in that zone, durability summary, inventory space, etc etc etc

if you run out of room you can activate a second bar at the bottom of your screen, but i find everything i need to know fits in one bar

i like it because it's very passive and unobtrusive

well, I'm looking for a bit more functionality then that
smartpet would turn bite/claw/growl/etc on and off to try and maximize dps, while maintaining enough focus to growl/cower as required(as well as keep pets from following fleeing mobs)

FWIW, since I quit some random fella released 2.0-compatible GypsyMod UnitBars & Shell. Not sure if any others are being worked on.

FuBar is much better than Titan right now, I was a huge Titan fan too, there are just many more mods that are controllable from Fubar than Titan. For example Dues Commander lets you control every AceMod from the bar at the bottom of the screen. I'll post a SS of my UI.

Fubar is along the bottom of the screen and some of the nice stuff is when I mouse over guild name it'll show a list of everyone who is on, the gold panel next to it when you mouse over shows how much gold each one of your characters have, next shows durability of each item, next is how much ammo you have, over to the right is a click for KTM threat meter, controlls for sRaidFrames and Duce Commander.

One of my favorite mods is on the mini map though, it takes a list of almost all your mini map buttons and only displays them when you click it. Cleans up so much space.

FuBar also seems to use less memory to me, when I went from Titan to FuBar my performance seemed to pick up a little bit. For bar mods, Bongos seems pretty nice. For chat interface mods, Chatmod and SimpleCombatLog are very nice.

Look at a screenshot of the default UI and that's what I use~

Mods are a crutch for sucking!

The Default UI is ugly as shit and way to spread out.

You can move stuff...

I used default with that bar thingy on the bottom.

I don't need a ton of shit

Fubar seems neat and all, but I don't care about most of that stuff

I just want a decent DPS meter thing, something to keep track of mining/herbalism nodes, and the smart pet functionality
