it's in our face everyday, and we know it's fake, but it's good to see just how fake it really is sometimes.

The Model Truth

Case and point, we are all truly beautiful, and society's version is truly nothing more than illusion.

I still don't think she's that good looking after the 'evolution.'

Way to miss the point entirely =\

Good find, too bad the media gets to all the little girls years before they can even understand this.

I didn't miss the point. I simply had no other comment.

America starts em off young. Movies like the Princess Diaries that start indoctrinating little girls to thinking that they're nothing unless they're beautiful.

Too bad they started with a pretty girl.

Lets see them do one with Roseanne.

I like average girls :dunno: They seem to be easier to please a lot of the time and most of the time you dont have to worry about every single guy they come across making a pass at them

That is definately true. It gets annoying having every damn guy make a pass at your girl.

I am usually secure enough with my position that I do not worry about the men making passes, since I am the one actually already "in".

That's just me though, and even that confidence took awhile to build for myself. (in reaction to my friends' serious jealousy problems that make me want to punch them in the face for)

The before/after photo manips are really incredible. I think that would be a really fun job to have - airbrushing for magazines and ads. Gogo further distorting everyone's impression of beauty ;)

I actually had to turn down a job working with that kind of stuff Maeya - at my interview I was watching them work on Playboy and Victoria's Secret - its uncanny what they can do in those magazines. The Victoria's Secret spread I was watching them do, girl started out with like 5 pairs of underwear on (I mean she's a model, she has to change a gajillion times a day, that's what they do.), hair afright looking like she just rolled out of bed, makeup WAY overdone and blotchy.. at the end of it all she was, of course, every man's dream.

it has nothing to do with security, I dont worry about being left behind or anything, it just gets annoying having her hit on after a while

It never bothered me. :dunno:

I'm not a jealous person, it's a weakness and an annoyance. Shows a huge lack of trust as well.

If you're not a jealous person you can't begin to understand it - it's not like jealousy is a great feeling to have, nor is it a desireable thing to be - and believe me - it's just as hard, if not harder, on the jealous person as it is on the person they're with.

Putting trust in people is for fools.
