My son gave me his old DS for xmas! Woohoo!

They didn't have much for used games at Gamestop. I picked up RE: Deadly Silence, Children of Mana and Starfox.

The Resident Evil game is a great remake of the original classic with some gimmicky touchscreen and microphone minigames in it.

I don't care much for Children of Mana yet... seems too simple.

Starfox is cool but the control scheme is tough to nail down.

Looking at picking up FFIII soon. What else do I need?

Yeah, New Super Mario Bros. is worth the money for the mini games alone. The card games are great for passing a few minutes of time here and there. Big Brain Academy and those types of games can be pretty fun too. There's some new Kirby game that looks pretty good that I've been thinking about picking up too.

Trauma Center

Castlevania is not Dawn of Souls it's Dawn of Sorrow. There is also a new Castlevania out right now called "portrait of ruin". I haven't played it yet but my gf got it for me for christmas so I'll let you know how it is then.

Also, one of the most fun little games on the DS is a sleeper that no one ever talks about. It's called "Kirby's Canvas Curse". It's all stylus controlled side scroller. Kirby is a constant rolling ball and you draw the path that he rolls on. It's really an awesome game.

And don't forget Mario Cart DS. It's one of the only games on the DS that utilizes the Wi Fi function properly. You can race other people. It's a bit depressing though, you beat the whole game only to jump on wi-fi and you get totally owned. Well I did anyway. Some people I was racing had like 10,000 races under their belt.

Got new games.

Mario 64DS is great.
Phoenix Wright is fucking awesome. Unique game.
Goldeneye is cool but tough getting used to the controls.
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory seems damn good.
Children of Mana got WAY harder real fast. Looking good so far.
Starfox is really good.

Trauma center...seriously. Most people will look at it and laugh and then never play it. But if you DO play it, I bet you play it till the end.

Old one.

I plan on picking up Trauma Center at some point. I've heard nothing but good things.

Yeah Trauma Center is amazing. It gets pretty tedious toward the end but it's still awesome from start to finish.

I don't know how TC is on the Wii though...if you have to point that wand at the TV to do everything, I can imagine how sore your shoulder would be after one operation, especially when it gets really involved.

I'm dying to see the DS interface with the Wii. I wonder what that's all about.

My kid is addicted to Animal Crossing. All the mario games on DS are top shelf, too.

I'm looking forward to checking out the Wii when my boy opens it Christmas day.

I'm heading out to the store in a bit to get some more games. I think I'll look for trauma center since everyone so far has said it was good.
