Who is in favor of free speech?

i think most politicians are only in favour of speech that agrees with their viewpoint/dogma/whatever

It all depends on what your idea of "free speech" is. It always makes me 
when someone...oh, someone on this message board, for example, gets their panties in a twist because someone deletes a post or whatever, and they yell about "free speech".
There are a lot of people that need to realize that this is a bigger concept that whether or not you should be allowed to name your new necro "Tuggan Mahthang"

I'd say neither, honestly - liberals tend to believe they are, but only if it's free speech to conform everyone into one lumped mindset so that everything is equal, which typically only lends to a breakdown of what people so badly wanted to put forth their opinions to in the first place.
On the other hand, conservatives seem to want to muffle most things that don't fit into specific ideals from a conservative perspective, so I'd say that wouldn't fit well either
Of course that's just a generalization, and there are exceptions in any case.. but as a whole, I think it's more of people believing that their intentions are best in the matter only causing the ideal situation to end up in a bit of a shakier reality.

I'm in favor of free speech, but at the same time i think people take it out of what it was meant for and use it for hatred. Having KKK rallies and things of that nature going on and them screaming free speach is just an excuse to spread their redoric to the world. I think it can be miss used. I guess i would be conservative free speech...
